Question about GE Washing Machines
After i select a cycle and hit start the washer will lock the door then automatically start draining although there is no standing water in the unit. the only thing it does is stay stuck in drain mode. it won't fill or agitate, just keeps trying to drain. Im thinking its the pressure/flood switch. Any thoughts on this matter? Your advise would be greatly appreciated!

You need to replace the Motor controller speed asm part number 134149220 they are about 165.00. very easy part to replace you have to remove the back panel and the control board is on the bottom left side two scews and two plugs.

A year later! I experienced the same problem this morning - exactly as you, Bessie24, stated. I could hear a faint humming sound and thought the lock mechanism was still trying to complete its locking function. It would know the lock function was completed when the lock trips the wee (micro) switch. I reckoned if the female portion (with switch) were a tiny bit loose, the switch might not trip, so I loosened then tightened the two screws attaching it to the carcass of the washer (as opposed to the door part) while pushing upward on the same part. This fixed my problem and i hope many others find this procedure useful.

you would need to go into the fault codes and read them. the tech sheet should be under the lid or in the kick panel
