We had the same problem with the 17" we bought in Aug. Sent it back for repair. Acer sent it back without fixing the problem. Started doing it again in Nov. This time I called a supervisor and they sent me a new monitor. Well yesterday it started doing the same thing. You can fix it temp buy unplugging it and holding down the on-off switch for 30 seconds. Please let me know if you have a better fix.

This is exactly what is happening to my monitor but happens a bit faster. Once the drive starts then the monitor turns on and turns straight back off again. The monitor works on other people's computers (including the tech guy at the shop I bought it from, making me look like a fool). However, once it has run on someone else's computer, it works fine on this one until it has had a long shut down (overnight). I updated drivers yesterday. It can't be too high a resolution since this is the highest one I have used before and the monitor I have plugged into it now has a resolution of 1366 x 768 and it is handling it.

have youre cpu check if the monitor works on other computer, then the problem is in your cpu, if you hear any beeping sound a bad memory or vga could be posible, try removing it clean it and put it back, also if you have a vga card install clean it also then reboot, also check the power supply if it is working properly
