I have just snapped the needle on my Husqvana overlocker 905 how do I change the needles

The serger came with a tool just for that purpose. It may be a small screwdriver or it might be a hex or Allen wrench. Locate the screw that holds it in, insert the proper tool and turn counter clock wise until the needle will slide down, remove and replace with new needle, then tighten, clockewise the screw. You are done

How do I change a needle on my husqvana 905 overlocker

Each needle has a small set screw holding it in place. Just above the needle from the front you can loosen the needle by using a T6 (Tork 6) screw driver (if you don't have the original tool that came with the serger) to loosen the needle. Before loosing the screw, I would put a piece of fabric or paper over the needle plate to catch the needle (or part) to keep it from falling in the machine. Turn the screw counter clockwise (to the left) to loosen. Insert the new needle and tighten. It's not necessary to remove the screw entirely, just loosen it and the needle usually just falls out.

Good luck.

The thread is tangling in the shuttle on my topaz 30 sewing machine & stopping the material to feed through

Are you absolutely certain you have the top thread routed correctly? If so, check the timing of the needle to the hook. Take out the bobbin assembly parts. Turn the handwheel counter-clockwise to position the needle in the downmost position. The needle should just barely clear the hook as it rotates. If not (hitting or way loose), it needs adjustment.

How do you use a needle threader for a plus 1 viking sewing machine

If it's the viking needle threader that was made for this machine, you would mount the needle threader over the needle screw. The part that fits over the needle screw of the needle threader is an eccentric. You rotate it until the hook of the needle threader slips into the eye of the needle. Once that happens you mearly put the thread in front of the threader hook and pivot the needle threader back out of the needle.

Machine will not sew correctly

The Topaz 30 is a relatively new machine and should still be under Viking's warranty if you bought it new from an authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer. Suggest you take it back to an authorized dealer--preferably the one where you bought it. The machines have a 5 and 20 year warranty for parts, etc. Most dealers will give you a 6 months to 1 year warranty if you bought it from them. There have been a couple of software updates released for this model. You can find more information at the husqvarna viking website. By clicking on the "Dealer's" link you can find the nearest authorized dealer.

Change needles

Look at the top of the needle where it is inserted in the needle holder. There are spaces for 4 needles - A B C and D. Most likely you are using the backmost needle positions - C & D. Look on the needle holder there are little wholes which are sctually screw holes that can be loosened and tightened using a Torx 6 screw driver (available at Sears) if you no longer have the needle changer screw driver. By turning the screw, the needle is eeither tightened or loosened. Be careful that when you loosen the needle it does not fall through the machine. Put a slip of paper on the needle plate below the needle to catch the needles when they are losened. You have a great machine in the Huskylock 936 and well worth keeping it serviced by a certified Husqvarna Viking service technician. You can locate a dealer near you by visiting the husqvarna viking website and clicking on the Dealer link on the left-hand side of the page -

Good luck.
