Do you have a chip in your key? Sounds like it was not installed correctly. If newer car and your key has a chip then it will not start it unless you have your key in ignition. You can test this by leaving your key near the ignition or in the ignition and see if you can start it with the remote. If it works then There is a way around this but its very involved with the vehicles wiring harness and anti theft features. I recommend asking the manufacturer. But if you insist on doing yourself at least get a repair manual so you can have the wiring diagrams and trace the circuit. Good luck. Hope this helps.
