This is a very ambiguous post. When you say that you are having this problem, what are you doing? Please post all the steps that lead to this error. There is no way to disable the amplifier protection circuit. If it senses a short (which could be a bad speaker) then it will be activated.

This means that there is a short detected on one of the amp outputs. Try disconnecting the speakers from the back of the unit and power on. If fault still persists then likely you have a bad output ic or FET (transistor). If fault goes away after removing speakers then plug them in one by one to see which is the culprit.

Hello can u help me about my MHC-gzx55d sony hifi component, when you turn on the power, the screen display appear "PROTECT" what is the problem and what is the possible damage of my component. please help...

When it goes into protect mode it has been over loaded. Remove everything from the component and unplug the unit for a minute or two. plug it back in and see if it pops out of protect mode. If this does not work then you will need to do a factory reset or check the fuses on the inside of the unit.

From the Canon forums:
To try and resolve the 5200 error, please unplug the power cord from the back of the unit and leave it out for at least 10 minutes, then plug it back in and turn it back on. Cant figure out why my protect LED indicators continue to go on.. Why is this happening?

disconnect speakers at the amp, turn unit on, if it goes into protect, it needs service. If it stays on, re-connect speaker wires without speakers attatched at the other side and test again. (make sure wires are separated and not touching metal!) if it stays on still, check speakers one by one, when it goes into protection, you have found your problem. Disconnect the bad speaker and test again. Process of elimination. It can only be one of three things. Internal amp problem(nothing connected and protection) wires(no speakers connected and protection) or speaker(s) (when speaker connected, protection) Hope this helps. If you need deeper troubleshooting with this issue, post a comment and I can help you further.

Sharp Air Conditioner

This is from Sharp's website...apparently an addendum to the instruction booklet. When you get E1:
Unplug. Press and keep pressing the On/Off button on the unit. Plug unit back in. Wait until unit beeps (about 5 seconds) then release On/Off button. Unplug unit. Plug unit back in.
You're good to go.
