Question about Exercise & Fitness

Open Question

I have a treadmill which gives me error E1. The treadmill starts but when I put on it, then gives me error one. It seems that the machine does not have the strength; drag, in fact I adjust potentiometer having a controller card, and this goes faster or slower, but in all cases it happens that when mounted on the treadmill then presents errors 1. The rotation sensor (pulley), it seems that's fine, because the controller card, the red LED flashing is observed. Please, that problem could be happening? Thank you and I hope your answer. Greetings ....

SOURCE: Treadmill runs then stops. E1 error and sometimes works fine.

Yes if speed sensor is too far from magnet it will not pick up belt movement. This confuses the computer and as a safety precaution it shuts the machine off. Find speed sensor and check for proper alighment with magnet.

SOURCE: Treadmill incline error

Try this, it fixed it for me, if it doesn't work let me know
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIIxoPtvhy8

I bought a used Precor 9.4 treadmill, but the incline adjustment was not working.
So, I did the following.
1. Turn off, unplug the treadmill and wait for an hour (this is for safety
2. Remove the black motor cover
3. Observe the transformer to the right of the motor and towards the belt ( I point to it in the video)
This transformer converts DC electricity to AC electricity and the AC current goes directly to the Incline motor which is in the black box towards the front of the machine.
4. On mine the wires had come loose from the transformer, they were soldered on very poorly, the wires are stiff and you should be able to see 4 wires coming from the top of the circuit board and plugging into the transformer, I had three of the 4 wires loose.
5. If you are not comfortable working with electronics or soldering DO NOT DO THIS REPAIR, you could get shocked very badly if you just go poking around in there with metal objects, get a friend who knows how to solder or hire someone.

6. It took about 5 minutes I just heated up my $10 soldering gun from radio shack and soldered all the loose wires that were about a millimeter away from the tabs on the back of the transformer, and VOILA! The incline now works!

Not working at all. What does error e1 indicate?

HI There,

We would need to know the make and model of the treadmill as they are vastly different electronics wise. The error E1 can indicate a mismatched speed error, no belt movement when it is expected, or a faulty lower control board may also cause this. Older Matrix Fitness machines used "E" for elevation errors and "S" for speed errors but most have changed that format to E1, E2, etc..
Good Luck!

Treadmill triumph 400t has error E1

E1 usually suggests it is and Electrical error and would probably require someone with knowledge of treadmills to rectify the error.
It is very unlikely the ordinary Jo Blo can fix this problem.

E1 error after start up.

Does the walking belt move for a brief moment, then immediately stop, followed by the E1 code? Or is there no belt movement at all when start is pressed?

Lites on control board read ( L 5 ) when machine is turned on.

the e1 symbol is an engineering error code for an electronics malfunction (actually is senses the motor not turning and giving an error. The most likely cause is the motor control board
