It's looks like the battery was already completely dead.

There's a switch that detects when the screen lid is open or closed, your's is obviously defective, or it may have been inadvertently wired backward at the factory.Whatever the cause, you'll need to take it to a laptop repair shop to get it fixed, or if your computer is under warranty,let Acer repair it.

Hello, from what i have read, it seems you have'nt considered that the Battery itself may be the issue at hand.. If not, I recommend that it now becomes the focus at this time.

On the Aspire 5735Z, the WLAN button is on the far right side of where your laptop's power button is. That strip of buttons and lights above the keyboard area. The farthest button to the right is the wireless power button.

it sounds you need to reinstall your card reader driver. it's on your acer cd.

definately ur power button is faulty bcoz sometimes this happens when some liquid or moisture reaches the digital contacts of the button it is also bcoz of air conditioning environment please try this if u have hair dryer in ur house just switch it on the normal speed and low heat settings and point it towards the round switch on button in the centre this hot air will pass thru the holes and might help in drying the moisture
