Check that it is registered with the base station and check the range coverage. If you are not out of area of coverage and handset is properly registered to base station then your handset may be faulty.

SOURCE: charge/in use light

Typically the charge light will stay on as long as the phone is on the charger. After 16hrs, the battery should be fully charged. Leaving it on the charger constantly can actually overcharge the battery, shorening it's life. The best thing to do is use it until it tells you the battery is getting low, then charge it uninterrupted for about 8-12 hrs. Of course, that's ideal and can't always be done, but the more you can do that, the better.

Hope that helps, and please rate my answer, good OR bad.

Good luck!

SOURCE: out of range shows on main handset of cordless phone

Unplug the battery. Hold down The * (star) and the #(hash) keys simultaneously. Re-connect the battery, phone will beep and screen will be blank. Press the voicemail (righthand silver key under the lcd screen). As above EEPROM/RAM message will appear. Place handset on base and your problem is solved.

I had the same problem!

What you need to do is hold the "end" and "#" key for 5 sec, which will deregister the headset then all you would have to do is place it back in the base for it to registered again.

Bluetooth H520. Why has it been charging(initial charge) for 16 hrs and still flashes red?

Initial charge usually takes longer, but 16 hrs sounds long. Try charging at another outlet port or try another wire.

Out of range At times when I am on the phone, it cuts out and shows "out of range" in the window

Joan, there are two things that can cause this, one, the batteries are not holding charge anymore or your base is loosing signal based on its location relative to handset.
Replace batteries and then charge them for 5 hrs before initial use. You can purchase replacement batteries from your local radio shack or walmart. Please bring your handset with your for the store to find exact replacement.

Uniden EXP370, un pluged to paint; after no base to phone contact; can not get dial cone

You have lost registration due to battery lossing charge. This is the sign of your phone battery going bad. I would suggest you purchase new batteries and then charge the for 5-7 hrs initially. One you have fully charged batteries you can register the handset to the base.

Out of Range

Make certain that the phone line cable is plugged securely into the base unit in the back. Disconnect it and re-insert it into the connector firmly. That should do it if the battery pack has been sufficiently charged.....12-16 hours should do it for the initial charge. Of course, you can't ecxpect it to find the base unit if it is 2 miles away, under a metal box! Just kidding!!
