SOURCE: I have a yamaha electone hs4, The foot pedals do not work.

JM: Your problem is this: There are rubber washerson the bolt that holds the pedal on. They are shot. Most likely Yamaha doesnot have the parts.Go to the plumbing dept of a hardware store and get some faucet washers and replace them. YYou can tell if the washers are shot by tiping over the organ and looking at the pivot bolt. Most likely that is yoiur problem. I am an organ tech. and have replaced many of these. DM

SOURCE: Model C-60 Yamaha organ. Loud hissing sound

This is likely in the power amp or the drivers for it.

The key to troubleshooting is a schematic. Try to procure one.

You MIGHT try using circuit cooler in the area of the power amps to isolate a bad component or cracked circuit board.

I have just got my grandmothers Yamaha B-4CR organ there is low volume coming out but when I move the vplume pedal it doesnt increase the sound... What can I do

As I recall, the volume pedal on that model is optically coupled, meaning it operates via a light source. I'm afraid it will probably need a tech to come check it out. You can find on close to you by calling your nearest piano/organ store, or by going to the MITA tech site which has a search engine. Here's the link-

The pedal keys doesn't work, no sound coming out of the upper notes of the pedel keys.

We can only guess at what type, model, and brand of instrument you have.

This is probably some type of organ... however there are many types.

IF the pedals are part of the main body of the organ, I would suspect a broken wire.

If it is a console organ, often the pedals have tabs that actuate switches. Often people place thess on a rug which CAN block the pedal from moving far enough.

Another thing is that SOME voices that can be used by the pedals on some organs do NOT span all the pedals because the instrument being emulated won't go that high in pitch.

No sound from Yamaha Electone HS-6

First check if you get sound from the headphone jack.

Do you hear anything as the power comes on from the speakers..? A slight bump?

A lot of these dead audio things can be traced to a failure at the expression pedal. often these use a light dependent resistor and the illuminating lamp burns out. This is all down by the pedal.

Many of the Yamaha organs, including the FX20 I have, have circuitry that checks that the power amp has DC balance before a relay closes to connect the speaker. A failure in the amp can cause dead sound as well.

Check if you may have knocked off the speaker leads OR ones to an expression pedal.
