john cordey Dec 12, 2014 Then you need to check audio settings to ensure all speakers are enabled , And try swapping the cable around even if you connect one side at a time.it does look like the cable is likely culprit.i am assuming the soundbar has a remote and that you have turned up the volume on it ?forgive me if you have it's just something some people overlook.if you in uk I can post you out a brand new optical cable today.need an address. john cordey Dec 12, 2014 I also assume you connected to the input terminal not the output!

Think you can set sound bar to play via Bluetooth .go into the settings of the tv and look for Bluetooth.when the sound bar is on make it discoverable and the tv will pick it up.if you don't have Bluetooth then check to see if there is an option switch in settings to use external speakers.check cable and also check volume on sound bar is not muted.also see if you can link the tv to sound bar via optical link cable as this is much better than RCA red/ white audios which tend to fail as people pull on the cable rather than the plugs when removing them from equipment.

Testimonial: "My soundbar doesn't have bluetooth. On the input list, it says, Check speaker power or optical cable if there is no sound."

TV Speaker - External Speaker (gives choices of Digital Sound Out ((PCM or Auto)), LG Sound Sync (optical), LG Sound Sync (Wireless). I have tried selecting all these options. And yes, I have tried swapping the cable wires around. I have poked a little more online, and some people are saying that their RCA soundbar is not compatible with newer TV's. I'm hoping that's not the case here.

Sound sync wireless you need to have soundboard on and then let tv scan for wireless connections.i think I am right in saying that the tv will link wirelessly to the sound bar via your router which may need to be dual band and 5 ghz selected but it may only work on the 2.4ghz freq.easiest option is to look to see if there is an optical connection , this is not RCA .if you need an optical cable I have some new spare ones, I can post this to you free.

Does your TV have a Digital optical port? It's a cable that sends a red light source. That is actually how you're suppose to hook up a soundbar. digital optical cable Bing images Straight forward. Plug and play. If you're TV doesn't have an optical port, as I know your soundbar does then you have to use a stereo Y Cable. 3.5mm to Red/White. Sound bar will have 33% the power going this way as opposed to an optical cable. Aux Audio Out has a itty bitty amp pushing power. Purpose of the Digital optical Cable is a light source.

Why isnt my tv sound comming out of soundbar

What did you plug into on television. Make sure it is Audio Out could be wrongly connected to component out or Audio in. Have you plugged in and turned on the AC power pack as this could be another possible cause of problems as the sound bar requires power. You may have a faulty AC power pack or power point.
I looked it up on Ilive's web site
32 Bluetooth Sound BarITB183B Press the power button first before selecting Source.Use the Source button on the control unit to switch between optical , aux inputs, line in. If you plugged it into the AUX in on the back you need to select Aux inputs (indicated by a white light) on the speaker. Do you have the user manual if not it is at http://www.iliveelectronics.com/fileuploader/download/download/?d=0&file=custom/upload/File-1380574738.pdf

Hope this helps as I do not have one myself

I have a HT Z220 Samsung home cinema and a new tv (LG M2352) I've connected it via the satelite box or cable receiver so have surround sound but is there a way I can attach my laptop to the surround...

Get a mp3 player adapter, it will have a headphone jack on one end and the red and white cables on the other end. Plug into the headphone jack on your computer, and plug the red and white jacks into the Aux input on the receiver. I didn't look at the link, but most receivers have a Aux input on them. That should solve your problem.

Snes no sound

Installation steps:
These steps work for Wii, Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo 64, and Super NES hookups.

Gently pull the yellow cable of the Stereo AV cable apart from the two Audio cables (red & white). Plug the yellow cable into the Video Input on the TV or VCR.
Locate an open set of Audio inputs (left & right) on your home stereo. Do NOT use inputs marked "Phono."
Plug the white cable into the Audio Left input on your home stereo. Plug the red cable into the Audio Right input on your home stereo.
Set the input select on the stereo system to match the label on the set of audio inputs. (For example, if you plugged the Audio cables into the AUX port, switch the stereo to AUX or "auxilliary."
Make sure the game is placed properly in the system.
Plug the controller(s) into the front of the Control Deck using the left most port for player one.
Plug the AC Adapter into the back of the system. Plug the other end into a wall outlet.
Turn the power on.
Turn on the TV or VCR and locate the input select. It's often called Input Select, AUX (auxilary), Line, Line In, Input, Source, Select, In, or EXT (external. Switch the input select to show the Nintendo game.
Note: If you are using a VCR, you will need to set the VCR's TV/VCR button to VCR. You can do this by putting a movie in the VCR, pressing play, then pressing stop.

The game image should now be displayed on the screen. You're ready to play.

I dont know how to connect the wii to my rx-465 receiver.

The Wii AV cable should have a red/white pair of Audio Output jacks on it.
Check out pg. 8 of the Wii manual: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/downloads/WiiOpMn_setup.pdf
Connect the red/white RCA plugs from the AV cable to a line level audio input on your receiver. If you use AUX IN, then select AUX IN on the INPUT selector switch. You should then hear the sound from the Wii through your receiver/home theater system.

How can i listen the tv sound on the home conema? I connected by hdmi cable. tks

You have to connect audio cables (red & white or optical) from your TV's AUDIO OUT to the Home Theater's AUX IN 2 (below VIDEO IN).

Press AUX on the remote control until it says AUX 2. (This would be D. IN when you're using an optical cable)

Red and White cable wires are usually for Audio wires. Make sure yo connect it to either Audio (Red & White) Out or Aux Out in your TV and connect it to your Audio (Red & White) In or Aux In in your Sound System/ Home theater.
