Cant get my wireless to connect to my wii

Well, for start, you need to know your wireless name and the password[if you have on set up for it.] Then you need to head to the options and enter the Wii options menu. Look for the "Internet" button on one of the menus and click it. From there you should be able to create a new connection, and you would pick wireless, you would then scan wireless networks, pick the one that is yours from the ones listed, put in the password and you should be able to connect. If you still can't get it past that point, or you don't understand something, please contact me.

Hi there!
There are two ways to connect your Wii to the internet; you can connect to your wireless network (if you have a wireless modem set up in your house), or you can connect using a wired connection directly to your modem.
If using a wired connection, you will need to purchase a Wii LAN adapter and connect that from your WII into your wired router.
danam106.png

Once you have figured out what connection type you will use (and if using a wired connection, purchased and connected your Wii LAN adapter) you will need to take the following steps:
FOR WIRELESS CONNECTION:
  • Turn on your Wii and click on the "Wii" button on the bottom left of the screen
  • Click on "Wii Settings"
  • Click on the arrow on the right side of the screen and select "Internet"
  • Select "Connection 1 : none" (if you don't see "None" in Connection 1, click the Connection 1 button, then choose "Clear Settings")
  • Click on "Wireless Connection" and then "Search for an Access Point"
  • Select "OK" and the Wii will display all the wireless networks it finds.
  • Select the wireless network that is yours.
  • If it asks you to enter a password or key, then your wireless connection is password protected and you will need to enter the password that was setup to allow access to your network.
  • Select "OK," "Save Settings," and then "Yes."
  • Your Wii will test the connection and you should get a message saying connection was successful.
FOR WIRED CONNECTIONS:
  • Connect your Wii to the Wii LAN adapter and connect that to your modem or broadband adapter. Please not that you will need to unplug your modem for a few minutes to reset the connection and you will also need to unplug the connection to your computer when you want to connect your Wii to the internet.
  • Turn on your Wii and select the Wii icon on the bottom left
  • Click on "Wii Settings"
  • Click the arrow on the right side of the screen and select "Internet"
  • Click "Connection Settings"
  • Click "Connection 1 : none" (if you don't see "None" in Connection 1, click the Connection 1 button, then choose "Clear Settings")
  • Click "Wired Connection"
  • Click "Ok"
  • Your Wii will now do a connection test
  • You should see a message saying the test was successful
Hope this helps!

Hello , i bought a used nintendo Wii system but i cant unlock the parental control, how can i do to change the password or parental control to be able to connect to enternet?

When asking to unlock parental controls, it should ask for a pin. Since you don't know the pin it will ask for a security question. Once again, you probably don't know the security question so ultimately, you need to follow these instructions http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/settingsParentalControls_reset.jsp

How do I connect the wii to the internet?

I don;t know what you are downloading. If you can get to the Wii Store then you already have an Internet connection. Otherwise, just go to the system menu, to Internet and use the connection wizard to help you set up. Make sure you have the keys and authentication type correct.
