Since these are retail purchased units, T-Mobile may need to activate the IMEI on their network.
I would ask the T-Mobile rep to confirm your IMEI is activated.

Take the phone into your provider to see if anything easy can be done, and see if they know what the problem is. If they can't help you with a simple fix, send the phone back for a refund or exchange.
