It could be your wireless card which you can replace through the bottom of the machine. Take it out and get the part number and do a search on amazon for it. It should be fairly inexpensive $5-10 I'm guessing. If that doesn't work I would just get a USB wireless adapter which you can also get from amazon. Good Luck! I have a hp Pavilion running mac os x snow leopard and i am trying so connect to wifi network and saying no air port found can any one help and help me fix this.

Hi there,
Try contacting HP and check if there's a driver available for the wireless card compatible with Mac OS X. The reason why it's saying it cannot find any airport is because it does not detect the wireless card being installed because there is no driver working.
Hope this helps!

your also not really stating your problem other than driver issue
I also see that HP does not have windows 7 support for this laptop
I have also read of people upgrading from vista to 7 successfully

The drivers available for that machine for XP are located here
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=228&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=uk&product=86586&lang=en No wireless adapters are available - so i suspect no wireless installed on the PC _ to be sure and see if the unit has a wireless adapter do the following Press the Windows key (bottom left of the keyboard} and at the same time press the R key, now in the search box that appears - type devmgmt.msc click on the + sign for network adapter have a look and see if you have anything listed as wireless or 802.11 you can get a wireless adapter which will connect to the USB - quite a few available on the net and shops. Make sure it will work with your version of windows on the machine

The wireless driver install package will be available in C:\SWSETUP
But if your notebook came without a preinstalled OS, you'll have to visit HP site to get the drivers for your notebook PC.
Alternatively, try the HP Wireless Assistant to check if it is turned on.

you might have to review the driver version of your wireless. try to check if there are updates that might fixed the bug. go to my computer, right click, manage, device manager, network adapters - under it move your mouse on top of the wireless, right click, properties, driver and check driver version and date. then go to your hp pavilion product support http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/ProductList.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=432999&taskId=135

Compaq doesn't provide XP support for this model. Fortunately for you someone has done a lot of work to find drivers that will work.

My Hp pavilion tx2000 cant play audio files, cant connect to net

Hi James

First, Sound drivers:
HP Pavilion tx2000 CTO Notebook Realtek High-Definition Audio Driver 6.0.1.5494 A from HP notebook
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp38001-38500/sp38206.exe

and video drivers..
HP Pavilion tx2000z CTO Notebook NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 Video Driver 7.15.11.5682 A
http://notebook.free-driver-download.com/url.php?id=TlRJeE5Eaz0&link=0

Now network:
HP Pavilion tx2000 CTO Notebook NVIDIA nForce Chipset/Network Driver 5.53 A
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp38001-38500/sp38205.exe

and wireless!
This is an older WIFI driver that only works in XP, and in certain HP Pavilions, but try it.
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp36501-37000/sp36684.exe

and this is the Vista one that is correct for your laptop, it probably doesn't work in XP but if all else fails, you could try it. (You should really run Vista on it, I reckon)-----------------
