Hi there! The tanks, brushes, nozzle and handle can be removed from the cleaner by following these quick steps below.

1. To remove the clean water tank simply grasp the handle and push down on handle to unlock it, then pull the tank out by the handle.
2. To remove the dirty water tank, slide the latches open located on the sides of the cleaner that hold the tank to the base of the cleaner. Grasp the handle and pull up and off.
3. For brush removal, with the handle in the upright position, tilt cleaner back until handle rests on floor. Grab brush assembly and pull firmly.
4. To remove the nozzle, with handle in upright position, tilt cleaner back until handle rests on floor. Pull tab at rear edge of nozzle and pull forward to remove nozzle.
5. For handle removal simply remove the handle screw and lift up on handle.

Disassembly beyond this point is not recommended. Hope this helps!

I did use my cleaner for along time , started it up and no water would
pump.

Go to www.hoover.com then, towards bottom left of the screen, click on "Download Manuals". This opens a search window, in which you can enter your model number and then download a copy of the manual.

This is an older model Steam Cleaner. The upper tank, fill with hot tap water up to the fill line, then add 5 ounces of carpet solution to the water using the upper cap to measure. Make sure the lower letank is secured and turn it on, tilt the handle back, pull trigger to release solution to floor going forward, then release when pulling back slowly to extract. I am not sure if the manuals are available online, however you may be able to locate a Hoover dealer which may have a digital copy. They can be found through the hoover.com

Check the ank valve to make sure when you push it in that water is coming out. The reservior asm, (the tank bottom sits on this)is bad or the rod in the handle isn't pushing the reservior asm when you squeeze the trigger.
