Set up exactly as per instructions, no sound, even remotely disabled TV speakers, still no sound

Check whether the audio is muted by accidental press at remote control button. Enter its sound menu, and check it. If muted, as you know there will be no audio output. If not muted, check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. They to check the menu of the TV is there is any option to activate the Digital out or is there is any setting which allow you make a selection between internal speaker or external speaker. if its there the make the setting as external speaker .

When turning on with universal remote, zvox screen says on, then off, I have to use zvox remote to turn on


Universal remotes only work when the correct code is entered into it. Some codes for the same make will work other models, but things are either missing or function differently. You need to find the correct code and try the functions using it. If everything is OK then it should be fine, if not try another code.

However the best remote for the job is the original that came with the equipment. Unless you have paid out a lot of money for a universal remote, you might never get the same responses as an original remote.

How do i set my home theatre as the default speakers on my viera led/lcd tv. When i turn off the tv and my JBL SB350 soundbar it resumes to tv speakers when i turn it on again?


Page 104 of the manual. It's through the Viera link settings. I have a similar TV. It's a little convoluted.

Through Viera link you set sound selection to Home Cinema and it mutes your TV speakers when your external speakers are on. I use that now now with a similar sound box (Zvox). It works fine. That doesn't work with the playbar...

enable hotel mode by pressing, at the same time, the down volume button on the side of your tv and the 'tv' button on the remote 3 times. A menu will pop up where you can set max volume to 0.

THE SOUND WORKS ON TV BUT THE REMOTE CONTROL DOES NOTHING.


Batteries could be bad, circuit board in the remote may be shot and try cleaning the infrared light on the remote and TV. If none of that works order a new remote or get an all in one, just make sure it has the programmable code for your TV

see the diagram attached, you can have wrong connection. However clean the contacts and test the wires.God bless you
he speakers are not connected properly. Check the speaker connections. The sound level on the rear or center speakers is turned down. Adjust the sound levels. The receiver is not in the proper surround mode. Set the receiver to a surround mode. The speaker settings are incorrect. What could be wrong if i have everything hooked up right i have it connected to the back of my directv box with audio coming out and going into input 1 on zvox box and is the blue light suppose to always...


Hi,
1. Make sure it's connect to "Audio Out" on your DirecTV box.
2. Yes, the blue light should be on while unit is on an received a signal.
3. Check a second set of audio cables, just to be sure.
4. Toggle the Auto On/Off button on the ZVOX remote.
5. Make sure you've turned up the volume via the ZVOX remote.

TV has no sound


Just a thought...does the set have a headphone jack? When you plug in most headphone jacks it disables the internal speakers. If it does have a headphone jack trying plugging in some headphones to see if you have sound there. If you do, plug/unplug it a few times...worth a shot.
