Most likely your fan and heat sequencer has welded shut. This is such a common problem that when I walked into the Goodman parts supply house; they just reached down below the counter under their computer and handed me the part. They are supposed to open when it reaches the temperature set point or you turn it off. When operating normally they run for a few seconds to a couple of minutes after powering off. They are a bimetal style(KLIXON) that cool off and open the switch shutting down the fan and strips. It is a simple replacement. Shutoff the power and remove wires from the terminals one terminal at a time and transfer to the exact same terminal on the new one.

Just give them the model and serial number. That is what i do to obtain parts to insure the correct part is purchsed. It is located above the blower in the electrical compartment. It will be black with several wires running to it; including the element and fan wires.Basicallly slooks similar to a round part with two sare ends on eac side of the circle.

From what I can gather it seems like a power source error (red wires attached to the transformer) is allowing it to keep running. Another possibility is it could be your speed tap. These are my speculations about what is occurring.

I would suspect that your fan motor burned out. What I would suggest is wait about 1/2 hour with thermostat turned down to lowest setting where it is not trying to turn furnace on. I would then turn thermostat back up to call for heat and see what happens. Most electric motors have a thermal overload on them and if its on motor will not run until it cools back down. Even if this works I would recommend that you have motor replaced and clean blower. Hope this helps. Thanks

Check for power to the unit. If power exists, check your low voltage. Do you have 24volts to R & C at your thermostat?

Heat will not turn off.Removed thermostat wile

Hello
Could be a stuck control relay,Tsat completes a circut for this relay to engage, once relay contacts are closed heater will start.and stay on until you reach temp.

once temp is reached relay will open and heat will shut down.

By disconnecting all power to heater your forceing relay to open.or simulating a satisfied temp.

I would have a service tech look at your control relay and t stat.

Blower stays on after heat goes off

when the room thermostat is satisfied it stops the heat by stopping power to the sequencer or contactor which is in series with the heating element/s...the TEMPERATURE OPERATED FAN SWITCH then takes over the blower until the heaters cool

make sure the blower is not set on rather than auto or the blower will run all the time. You might want to disconnect the thermostat and test the low voltage circuit to make sure the wires are not shorted

Dryer runs but will not heat. Replaced fuse and

your cycling thermostat needs changed too. the thermal fuse is your last safety measure that goes, which means your cycling thermostat is not shutting down the heat element once it detects the right temp hot air in the blower housing so it let the heat element glow until either the high-limit sensor shuts the heat down or the thermal fuse blows. Change the cycling thermostat and good luck

NO HEAT

A blower relay usually has a set of closed contacts that go to the  motor and when the 1st element comes on the power goes on through the sequencer and then these contacts and to the motor heating speed. If you have a blower in AC and with the fan sw to ON u can run the blower on manual 100% of the time until someone can come look at it and the heater coils will cycle on and off with the thermostat. Dont worry about the cost compaird to the elements the motor is nothing and the heat it generates is going into the heated home anyway.
