Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies
Downloaded driver from website, worked at first. Then, not. Also, sometimes prints but is really faint. Have bought new ribbon. Re-downloaded driver.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Hi steve well I suggest that you remove the cartridges and clean the little gold contacts on the carriage and the cartridge. If this doesn't work then install brand new original cartridges as the cartridegs that you have refilled the data ribbon may have been damaged when you refilled them..
Try the above and I hope it works for you

SOURCE: Black Lines
Do the black lines only show up when useing the adf???? Or do they show up on both the adf and the copyboard glass??? If it is only when using the adf...... The fix is easy.... you have to clean the smaller piece of glass that is to the left of the copyboard glass with windex or rubbing alchola. If it is with both you may need a new drum and blade or a new ufr... Good Luck

you can try this workaround.. most of the printing issues can be solve by doing the following steps.:
1. download the Printing diagnostic utility
2. install it, and run it.
3. when its open, click on DIAGNOS, it will give you several errors why you cant print.
4. after doing that step, click on FIX. it will automatically fix the issue.
5. after that, it will give you all green checkmarks. then try to print something.
below is the link where you can download the file "printing diagnostic utility"

SOURCE: installing driver
Hi jjcr_7 - What is the make/model of your printer? (There are several different variations of this printer model):
» HP LaserJet P3005 Printer
» HP LaserJet P3005d Printer
» HP LaserJet P3005dn Printer
» HP LaserJet P3005n Printer
» HP LaserJet P3005x Printer
If you are using Microsoft Windows XP - Please visit the link below and download the PCL6 Univerisal Printer Driver. After you install the printer using the add new printer feature and select the option to browse (find the folder you downloaded the driver to) and install the printer. You can also install just the software which you can use if necessary or you want the HP software on the machine for user friendly help in the event of an error or support from HP to diagnose your problems.
(Copy and paste this link into your browser)
If you have already installed the software - uninstall the printer first then uninstall the software - delete the folder it creates in the Program files folder for HP. (Do this before installing just the printer with the driver)
Some times when you download the software from the websites they don't always install the correct printer or driver type. Often just downloading the driver from the page will be the best option.

I think I know what is the problem. I refilled my black ink cartridge and it printed for a while, but at some point it just stopped working. The head wouldn't touch the paper. Initially I thought the printer had a problem, but then I discovered that the color cartridge still worked.I had a spare new cartridge so I changed it. Everything worked just fine afterwards. My hypothesis is that HP tracks an identifier in the cartridge and does NOT allow you to refill (I even think they simulate for the cartridge to be failing, but I still have to corroborate this). I think this is outrageous and illegal. Please let other people with the same problem know about it. So, the solution is to stop using HP products.
