If it has no spark, then look at the coil. It may need to be replaced.

Does tjhe rotor is correcty line up? Does the distributor is line up to? If you got fuel, mybe the spark isn't done a the proper time. Take of the distributor, the rotor shoulb be line up with a mark on the distributor imself. and the cap shoulb be line up with this mark to.

I have a 2000 gmc Sierra 3/4 ton 4x4 k series I have no spark to my spark plugs I have changed the crank sensor an the ignition module not sure what else I can try I'm thinking maybe the ignition coil


Check to see if you are getting spark from the coil to the distributor. I suppose the engine is a 5.7 liter?If not getting spark to the cap, then check for power and ground pulse at the coil.If there is spark at the cap, replace the ignition rotor. If there is no power or ground pulse at the coil,check to see if the ignition rotor is spinning when the starter is engaged. If the distributor is not spinning while cranking the engine there are several more things you'll need to check,i.e.,distributor gear and pin as well as oil pump if the pin or gear are damaged.

The coil in the distributor is THE coil. Try replacing that coil.

98 crv won't start


Check compression and timing belt. If belt is ok and you have compression, check to see if you have a pulse at the injectors. You use a device called a NOID light (basically a light bulb that plugs into the injector plug. Unplug the injectors one by one and plug the light in then crank the engine. Light should blink on and off if the system is working properly. If not check for a bad crank sensor, blown injector fuse and wiring harness. Hope this helps.

you should chek ur actual injector pulse to see if fuel is gettn injected into ur engine. one way to see if its a fuel problem is to try shootrin carb cleaner into ur throttle body or a vacuum hose directly on the intake manifold while cranking engine an even see if it try to start. if it pops over an trys to start then ur spark is obviously good enough,an ur not gettn injector pulse. all ur injectors should have 12volts and only the ground gets pulsed on and off to open an close injectors,while someone is crankin engine.thats wen voltaged needs checked. if it trys to start then i woul def check ur cam sensor which controls injectr pulse ,most likely located in ur distributor.also good idea to chek all ur fuses,and even try to see if there are any codes in ur computer system,which their probably are. very important wen diagnosing a no start condition. good luck coutybgg

It will crank, but wont start. spark plugs are not firing


Most of the time,on that model,it is the distributor,if the timing belt has not broken,pull the distributor cap,and turn the engine over to see if the rotor button is turning,if it is not,then the timing belt has broke.if the rotor button turns,replace the distributor.

most of the time the module will fix it. it's cheap and easy to replace.
just remove the distributor cap and the rotor and you will see it.
however, according to your info, the blazer does not have a vin code W in 1985. that's a 7.4 liters engine, the full size blazer only have 5.7 liters

Check for injector pulse if no pulse with no spark check ignition module in distributor or crank sensor.
