Screen printing is a form of stencilling that first appeared in a recognizable form in China during the Song Dynasty (960-1279 AD) but in 1938 The Father of the Serigraphic process was an artist by the name of Guy Macco, later in 1940 Anthony Velonis (NYC). He is the man who "invented" the term "serigraphy" in , from the Latin "Seri" (silk) and the Greek "graphein" (to write or draw)
