Remedies tried: 1) pressing the "no heat dry"pad for 10+ seconds; 2)pressed door latch on closed door,light goes off but comes back on when latch released; 3)when door is open,lite goes off;back on when closed; 4)turned power off for 30+ minutes; 5)alternated pressing"normal wash,no heat dry" repeatedly; 6)pressed Cancel/Drain:it blinks & Lock On goes off for 4 seconds then resumes blinking along w/Cancel/Drain.

Joe, see if you can reset the board by pressing heated dry-normal-heated dry-normal..(new board). Old board is high temp wash-air dry-high temp wash-air dry. See if it goes back to normal. If not you probably have a stuck or shorted keypad on the overlay..not the board. Catriver...post back

The blinking lights are called codes and this is warning you that there is a technical problem. Probably an electronic failure some where. This can only be diagnosed by a trained service tech!

SOURCE: error and power light blinking.
Here is the Waste Tank Full reset.
Canon BJC-50 BJC-55 BJC-80 BJC-85 M40 M70
1: Unplug Power Cord
2: Hold POWER and RESUME buttons
3: Plug in Power Cord
4: Release buttons after the printers starts up
5: Hold CARTRIDGE and RESUME
6: Press POWER
7: Release all buttons after the beeps
8: Press CARTRIDGE 16 times
9: Press RESUME
10: Unplug the Power cord

Blinking 5 times in orange means print head not detected by the printer. You may try following procedure: remove and reinstall the print head. If the problem not solve find good print head to compare. More information please check below link
