Well u haven't given me much info but is it a colour laser or black and white? Either way -if it's a toner error, this can span from a poor refilled cartridge (most companies are good at this by now) it could be a micro switch. Or it could be the fuser. Concept of a laser printer for you: receives info through either parallel port, USB, wireless, rs232 - whichever. Then projects radiation onto page - passes under toner roller then under fuser from memory which is 300 degrees c or lower this bakes toner onto page and out it comes from output. Check for damage to fuser? - when it's cold, is at a refilled cart? You could blow out printer with an airline but do not discharge to atmosphere and wear a mask. And there will be contacts where cart talks to printer - clean these. The other dafty is to take toner cart(s) out and shake side to side like maraca's to redistribute toner. 13 yrs in the trade tought me most of these little tricks. If no evail- try your old cart and see if it brings up an empty code. Or get a genuine cart(s) or it could be a duff switch or board. But keep it simple for now - it's usually the simple thing. Good luck, Andy.
Kyocera Mita FS-3820N
Hello,
This error code (7001) refers to a Toner
motor error.
• Toner motor is overloaded. TNMOC is detected
by sampling every other
100 ms in 2 seconds since the main and toner
motors are activated following
the Replace toner Clean printer, message after
the "Toner low" is detected.
Recommended action is to change the
toner pack.
If this does not resolve the issue then the developer
should be changed.
If neither of those resolve the issue, then
likely the internal circuit board called the engine controller may be bad.
If this is the case the printer will need to
go to an Kyocera Repair Depot.
I hope this has been of assistance.
