Question about Televison & Video
Before you do anything, pull the power board and re seat. I've seen this before if all the connecting pins are not making contact your symptom is exactly what happens. The TV is protecting itself from damage occurred if contacts are not closed. You also might want to spray film less contact cleaner in the I/O port. Give it time to make sure the cleaner is completely evaporated. Then when putting the power board in do not insert at an angle and when it is done correctly you should feel an ever so slight click. That will tell you it is in correctly. Don't waste you money until you have tried this. Remember be gentile with these parts and avoid static electricity.

If you replaced the power board, the only thing it leaves would be the logic board or the screen itself.
Try another logic board if you find one cheap enough, if not, new tv.

My LOEWE CAL 232 will not power up. When the power button is pressed, the monitor turns on, with the LOEWE on the monitor, then the TV continues with the previous activity (antenna, DVD, VCR etc.). Now all that happens is
1. the red light comes on
2.after about 1 second the green light turns on for about 12 seconds
3. the the green light turns off for about 1 second
4. then the green light turns on again for about 12 seconds
and this continues until the power button is pressed to turn the TV off. During this time, the monitor does not turn on and the only sound I hear seems to eminate from the power button.
