Sony DCR-DCD105 Camcorder - no power on bat...

Camera 2 yrs old. Have had no problems until today.

Camera works fine when plugged in to outlet. Camera will not power up when using battery power. Have tried 2 batteries, same results. When trying to charge battery, the charge light stays on for about 15 seconds then goes off. When checking battery strength, through menu option when plugged into AC outlet, battery strength is 50%.

Basically no power under battery and have inserted battery that is not discharged. Also insetered a dead battery and camera will not charge th battery. Have also reset camera and have verified that auto-shut off is not activated.
