Some time the wire breaks at the plug which pushes into the tablet check that plug if not it could be the battery.

My Tablet is on charge and the screen icon shows it is charging but the Charge % Icon is staying the same

Try a different battery charger.
Maybe you are using a battery charger of a phone.
They have the same plug but different Amperage.
Usually tablets have more powerful battery charger than phones (2.1A instead of 0.5/1A).

The battery charger that you are currently using seems to have enough power just to keep your tablet alive, but not enough to charge it.

You can check on the data written on the battery charger's body the maximum amperage.

Tablet not charging while plugged in

Turned off the tablet, unplugged the charger and kept the tablet off for about 30 minute to one hour, plugged in back the charger, then turn on the tablet. After that I you might see the tablet started charging. Good Luck.

My tablet is not charging

Hi,

Does the tablet power on when plugged in?
Have you tried a different power outlet, or a different power adapter?
Does the connector on the tablet seem loose or will the tablet charge if you hold the charging cable firmly to the charging socket?

Depending on your answers, it could be a bad charging port on the device, or a bad power adapter/cable, or a problem with electrical outlets. The remaining option would be a battery problem.

I post on behalf of HP.

Hi i have a samsung tablet gt-p5210 &it keeps shutting down sometimes i go to play a different game &it just shuts off help!!! Thanks

specify weather it is plugged in or not when this happens and if the battery is above 30%
if plugged in, is the plug getting loose if so replace the wire that charges it and plug will be tight again . clean around plug with folded paper corner to be sure nothing is inside pressed to back of plug slowly shorting power. batteries do wear out in these things so only plug back into charge when it is below 20% and let it charge all the way up. as each partial charge cost you one of the 1000 charges in the battery's life. get Battery Doctor from the play store it will trickle charge at end of cycle and will tell you the battery's health. good app.

Hhow do I start this tablet up?

If it has a protective cover (after market bought), remove it carefully. Then look around the edges of the tablet for any buttons. There will likely be 2 or more plus a port where you can plug in headphones or ear buds. There should also be a USB port used for charging the tablet. Back to the buttons, press each of them and hold each for at least two seconds. If none of them turn the tablet on, your battery may need charging. If none of these steps produce results, please ask the question again and state exactly what make the tablet is and its model number.

I tried powering up my tablet but it doesn't power up after many tries with many cords and Sears won't take it back. What is wrong?

Hi! I will try to assist you:

1. Make sure the battery is charged enough for the tablet to power on or (if it is not) if you can charge it. An easy way to do thisa is to plug in a charger and see if it indicates that it charges.
If it does not charge, then:
a) The battery is faulty or
b) Something is wrong with the adaptor or the "charge-circuit"
In order for a) and second part of b) to be checked, your tablet needs to be opened!

2. If it charges, then it might be the power button. Try to press it hard enough (try not to break it though) in order to make sure it is not a little bit broken or moved. If still nothing happens then your tablet has to be opened!

3. The screen might be faulty as well.

4. If it is none of the above, then it might be the mainboard. In order to make sure it is not the mainboard, you would need to connect it to an external monitor and see if it works with the external one (I think there is no such option in your case, though)

I assume you wish to experiment-check it by yourself. If you just need a new one, then for instance:

Won't charge

It would help if you mentioned the device you are trying to charge.

If per chance the device has some power left and the device is on, shut the device off and then on again (after waiting a minute or two).
Try a different cable.
Try a different electrical socket.
If you are using a powerboard, try a different powerboard or plug
directly into a wall socket.
Check the cable socket in the device, is it loose?
If it is a device with a removable battery, remove the battery for 10 minutes. Then try again.

If none of that works, it might be the battery is exhausted and needs to be replaced.
