Question about Washing Machines
Don't know how to get to lid switch
My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.
It would be easier if you sent me a model number. Generally the lid switch is white and has a plastic rectangular frame. The switch pops in. With a small screw driver, wedge under the switch frame and lift. There is a clip you can depress under the frame. If you are replacing the switch who cares if you break the clip. There are 2 contact wires on the clip (These are HOT). Disconnect the wires and reconnect them on the new switch. Be careful the wires do not fall in.
If this is not the type of switch that you have send me the model number.
