Basic instructions to make bread in B48M

  • 1 package (1/4 ounce) active dry yeast
  • 2-1/4 cups warm water (110° to 115°)
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 6-1/4 to 6-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
Directions In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add the sugar, salt, oil and 3 cups flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time, to form a soft dough. Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, 8-10 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease the top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1-1/2 hours. Punch dough down. Turn onto a lightly floured surface; divide dough in half. Shape each into a loaf. Place in two greased 9x5-in. loaf pans. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 30-45 minutes. Bake at 375° for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and bread sounds hollow when tapped. Remove from pans to wire racks to cool. Yield: 2 loaves (16 slices each).

I need to convert 300 grams of mascarpone italian cheese into something i can understand

Don't forget cups are measurements of volume not weight. It was so the old west cowboys could cook using their tin mug as a measure. The problem with converting weight to volume is as follows, a cup of sugar is heavier than a cup of flour. Whole almonds have air spaces between them. This site is a flour site, but lower down, cups of various ingredients by weight. With the two sites listed, you can convert everything. Good luck, I am a trade chef.
http://www.kingarthurflour.com/learn/ingredient-weight-chart.html

300 grams is 10 1/2 ounces

200 grams is 7 ounces

This calculator site will convert everything including grams to ounces and using the 'VOLUME' tab, grams to cups.

How many cups is 100g of sugar

1/2 cup

Here is how volume/weight conversions work. A gram is a unit of weight. A cup is a unit of volume. Volume is the amount of space an ingredient occupies and weight is the mass or "heaviness" of an ingredient.

500 grams of mini marshmallows = 10 cups
500 grams of flour = 4 cups
500 grams of sugar = 2.5 cups

As you can see, the weight for these ingredients are the same, yet the volumes are different. This is because each ingredient has a different density.

Here is another example:
A cup of feathers and a cup of lead pellets both occupy 8 fluid ounces of volume. The feathers will weigh a lot less than 8 ounces on a scale and the lead will weigh a lot more than 8 ounces on a scale.

Asking how many cups equal 100 grams would be the same as asking how many hours are in a 100 inches. Volume and weight are two completely different measurement systems... just as time and length are two different measurement systems. The only difference is that volume and weight can be linked through density.... mathematically speaking. Density = Mass divided by Volume. Density can change for the same ingredient. For example, a cup of sifted flour will weigh a lot less than a cup of unsifted flour. A pint of water will vary in weight depending on the temperature of the water.

There are websites that do volume/weight conversions based on density. Two great websites are:
http://www.onlineconversion.com and
http://www.gourmetsleuth.com or, you can look in a cookbook that has a volume/weight equivalency chart.

Convert 4 ounces to grams

1 ounce = 28.3495 grams or about 28.3g (rounded to tenths)
4 * 28.3 = 113.2g; round to nearest gram, 113g (which is close enough for measuring flour)

Is the function of one-half a large, small, or in between number, and how do you evaluate the function of one-half to the millionth power?

Ingredients:
  • 8- 1 ounce squares of unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 cup butter
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1-1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2-1/2 cups chopped pecans or walnuts, toasted
Preparation: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a 9 x 13 pan. Melt chocolate and butter in a saucepan over low heat; set aside. In a mixer, beat eggs, sugar and vanilla at high speed for 10 minutes**. Blend in chocolate mixture, flour and salt until just mixed. Stir in the nuts. Pour into prepared pan.
Bake for 35-40 minutes. (Don't overbake.) Cool and frost if desired, but that is not necessary.
** It's not required, but this is when it's very nice to own a stand mixer.
This is one of the best brownie recipes.

Need bread to be lighter, more fluffy

To make it light and fluffy you need to add more water or milk so that the dough is sticky, also add a little more yeast. You will have to experiment to get the right quantitys but as a rule if the recpie adds 2 tsp of yeast i add 1 more, with the water if it aske for 10ml extra for every 100gm of flour.
