My digital2 pad has locked me out with this FBI thing cant do anything with it once turned on cant shut it off his is flustraiting please HELP.

That is a malware/virus. I got this on one of my PC's last year.. You will end up Reinstalling/Re-imaging/Restoring.
Manufactures Website for that model will have instructions how to restore to the "out of the box image". Sorry, but you have likely lost all your files..

It looks like a virus to me but I am only guessing. Take it to the store and let them check it for you.

you probably will need to update the firmware

D2_961 Firmware Update Instruction:
1. Download the D2_Firmware in the link below
2. Use an archiving software (Winzip, WinRar, 7 zip etc.) to extract the Firmware Update package and export it to your computer's local disk (ex. C:\)
3. Open up the zip file and there will be 3 folders as shown in image

4. Open "Pad Product Tool 1.05_02" folder and click on "setup.exe" to install update tool.3-284x233.png4-284x233.png5-284x177.png
Click "Next" all the way until the program starts installing. Click "Close" when the software has done installing.
5. Open up "Pad Product Tool"6-284x177.png
6. Click the 7.png icon and choose the firmware file "jellybean_atm7029_m2909_131216.fw" from the "FW_m2909_961_1115_1216" folder.

7. When the firmware file loads, it will show up on the PAD Product tool.
8. Now, click and hold down the "Volume - "key on the tablet.
9. While holding down "Volume - " key, connect the tablet to a PC using the USB cable.
10. Still holding down "Volume - "key, use a paper clip (or a small pin) and press the "Reset" button on the back of the tablet ONCE (and let go)
11. The 9.png icon will turn into 10.png . Click it to start the firmware update.
12. After the update is complete, remove the USB cable first, then turn on the tablet.11.png
13. The initial start up time may take up to 50+ seconds.
14. After initial start up, tablet will require a reset. Please press and hold the reset button for 10-15 seconds to reset the unit.

You have a virus! I would wipe everything back to factory settings by reinstalling operating system!

My Asus Memo Pad MG8 has the FBI green pak virus


You can download & install Malwarebytes AntiMalware software (Free or Paid version) ( http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/ )

Once Malwarebytes is installed, run the program and update the database if needed.

After updating, Click "SCAN NOW' button and after the scan click "APPLY ALL"

ALTERNATE MANUAL REMOVAL OPTION:

How do i reset my digital2


To factory reset your tablet - Open system "Settings", then "Backup & Reset", then "Factory data reset". Once reset, all settings will be restored to factory default settings and user will be required to do the initial setting.

It might be the charger or the USB cord I would try first charging it from you computer with only USB port. These tablets take about three days to charge

I think this product is junk and this site doesnt seem to have answers


Why do you put your opinion about things we don't sell on this site? Would it not be better if you went to the firm who sold you the product, or the firm who made it, or the firm that does not want to support your system.
We are only volunteers trying to help people with most technical questions. We don't sell things or services, so we don't need to support anything. I don't think it is fair to blame volunteers here, for things that went wrong somewhere else.
