Question about Kyocera FS-920 Laser Printer
Hey Folks, my FS-920 is stuck in the warm up phase. I already removed the toner, the photosensitive drum, the paper yes there is enough paper in the cartidge). I removed the playstics on the side, to see if there is anything wrong, but I couldnt find anything. The toner seems to be not empty yet... Any ideas? Thanks in advance, Paul
It sounds like the fuser heater has failed.

Testimonial: "Thank you for your reply. This sounds to me like the motor is broken on a car, right? Meaning: it makes no sense to buy that part to fix it? Or should I invest in that? The printer worked fine for years, but the question is: is it better to buy a new Printer or to fix this one (assuming everything else is in good condition)..."

yyou have to be careful when doing this.
the waste toner is built in to the process unit (drum unit) and has a plug on the side.
remove the plug and tip it out.

you can find the driver for the printer at this location..
the fs/km uniprint driver version 8.4 is the updated windows 98 printer driver for that.

It's in the mid-section underneath the opening where the printed paper comes out. You'll see a lip in the middle, lift that and the toner is right there. It will lft right out.
