Dstv remote not working on any blue dials? Two tv's in separate rooms, one pvr decoder. Only the red dial works on both tv's & both remotes are working & both tvs responding properly.

Is this a newly installed system? If both tv's are responding to the same remote setting (red in case), it means both tv's are set to the same channel. The tv that is connected to the decoder directly (via AV cables, I presume) is supposed to respond to if the remote is set to red. In order for the second tv to respond when the remote is set to blue, you need to tune the second tv until you find the picture of tv2 (the decoder transmits both tv1 and tv2 on the RF/coaxial output and it seems that your remote tv is tuned to tv1 instead of tv2).

I have a Sharp flat panel model LC-20SH4U. The units power LED light is red. No effect (sound or picture) when remote or on/off switch is activated. The LED light slightly blinks.

Resetting the TV
If the buttons on the remote AND the buttons on the TV case do not work (channels do not change and you cannot open or navigate the menu), the TV has stopped responding. Reset the TV as follows:

NOTE:
Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can save time.

clip_image001.jpg
1. Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet.
2. Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...)
3. Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds.
4. Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV.
5. Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again.
6. Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices.
7. Turn on the TV.

Hope this may help;

013/ 054/ 055/ 060/ 065/ 067/ 089 These are the three digit codes to Jvc brand TVs. As there is no remote control with you, the first thing to know is, to which code do your TV respond. Some TVs will respond to three digit codes, some others will only respond to four or five digit codes. If your TV do respond to three digit codes, a universal remote control, which have the above said codes in its code list will work. If you wish to get three, four & five digit code list to some popular remote controls, check the links given above. You can choose the proper remote control to your TV. But before buying a new remote control, make sure about the number of digits of codes that TV must have.

Can a tv lose the ability to read codes from a universal remote cause i tried three different un. remotes and my tv doesent react to them.. thnx

If the infrared sensor inside the TV is faulty, TV won't respond to any remote controls. You can make it sure by looking into TVs standby light. If standby light on TVs front panel blinks once, when you press a key in the remtote control, make sure that the sensor inside is working properly, and the code you are trying to enter is non once for your Brand TV, If there is no blinks as such stated above, make sure that the infrared sensor inside your TV is faulty. If you want more details about codes, setup proceedings, repairing a remote & checking it, just visit this site. Th site name is "Electro-help".. Just search for it by type in 'electronicshelponline' in your browsers' search page. It is a blogspot site, in English language.

My universal vizio remote needs to be reset to my sony t.v. i have no clue on how to reset it and i dont have the code any more can you help me please?

Hello
Setup code for Sony TV with Vizio Universal remote control is [ 0000 ]

The reomote control is pre-programmed to work with all esisting Vizio TVs. If you want to set up it with Sony TV, do the following.
1. Manualy turn on the TV.
2. Press the [TV2] button on the remote control.
3. Press and Hold the Setup button until the LED light flashes twice.
4. Enter (0000) using the number buttons. If the code is accepted the LED flashes twice after the last digit is entered. If the LED does not flash, repeat steps 2 through 4 once again.
5. Point the remote control at the tV and press POWER button. The TV will turn OFF.

Other four digit codes to check for Sony TVs are: 0128/0013/0002/0071 & 0380.
If code [0000] does not respond with try other codes. Repeatsteps 2 through 4 once again after entering each code listed. The code listed with Vizio universal remote control with Sony TV is [ 0000 ].
OK.

My Technika LCD32-229 is just over 12 months old and has suddenly decided not to respond to the remote or on/off control on the TV. If I turn of the power at the mains for 30 seconds or so, it will then...

HERE'S THE ANSWER TO YOUR PROBLEM:

The possible reason why your TV doesn't respond to your remote is probably the battery of your remote. Maybe it has been used up to it's fullest capacity, so try checking it up. In case, it has been used up, try to buy a new one.

The possible reason why your TV doesn't stay on is still your remote control. Maybe you have accidentally set it to "sleep mode." When it is set into sleep mode, it turns on just for a shorter time. It cannot stay on longer.

So, here's what you've got to do. Check your remote. When the remote works already, press the sleep button remote again. I hope it works for you.

Thanks.
