Great sounding speaker, but nothing but trouble with the bluetooth. It appears that I can only have one device paired at a time. In order to connect another device, it breaks the current pairing. A

Everything. Multiple connects, unconnects. At this time, looks like I will be returning.

Yes this is a 'feature' of Bluetooth. (I have never seen the point of Bluetooth... Wi-Fi does everything it does, but better !)

It DOES usefully enable a phone or tablet to play though headphones or speaker and to use a headset 'cordlessly'...

Consider instead a 'Bluetooth Receiver' (under US $10 from China) connected to a FM Stereo Bug (Transmitter) - Then you can use any number of quality FM Radios (including phones with built in FM) up to 50 metres or so away...

example: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wireless-3-5mm-Stereo-Audio-Adapter-A2DP-Bluetooth-Dongle-Transmitter-Receiver-/141227224470?pt=UK_Home_HomeDecor_Accessories&var=&hash=item20e1cc6d96

Testimonial: "Here is how I solved by "connect/disconnect" issues: Sounds Great, but POOR Bluetooth connectivity. Can't seem to be able to keep it paired with multiple devices simultaneously. Constantly having to repair with another device which breaks the pairing from the current device. I found another review that reported similar issues. Unacceptable for a speaker in this price range. Looks like I will be returning unless I receive a satisfactory reply to a support request email I sent to Marshall (they have NO U.S. support). Update: OK, here is how I found to connect/disconnect the speaker between Windows 8.1 and IOS. And it also appears that one has to "disconnect" the speaker from one device prior to connecting it to another. I believe I worked through it. Here is what I found: Connecting Bluetooth to Windows 8.1 is a real trip! First, one has to "pair" it under windows charm, PC Settings, Bluetooth Then, one has to "connect/disconnect" the speaker under Control Panel, Devices and Printers. It also helps to create a desktop shortcut for the connect/disconnect function. Then, in order to switch from external Bluetooth speaker to the internal speaker, one has to right click on the speaker icon in the taskbar, select "play back devices", and then change the "default" speaker. It also helps if one goes on line and downloads a new speaker icon and places in the windows32 system folder and changes the icon for the Marshall speaker otherwise it's confusing since both the internal and Marshall speaker look the same. Do an internet search on how to do this. It use an ICO file as the icon. For IOS, it appears that the simplest method of connecting/reconnecting the Stanmore is that once it is paired and connected, one has to completely turn off Bluetooth to "disconnect" the speaker. Otherwise if one "tells" IOS to "forget" the device one has to repeat the pairing process all over again which entails having to hit the "pair" button on the Stanmore. The speaker sounds wonderful! The Bluetooth instructions were seriously lacking. It would help if either Marshall included more detailed instructions and/or put something on the web similar to what I have written. If there is a more straightforward manner to pair/connect/reconnect between IOS and Windows 8.1 please advise. I think some of the competitors -- Bose for instance -- may include some sort of Windows software that may install itself on the desktop. Including a different speaker icon would certainly help. It is a nice product -- now that I have it connected. A little pricey, but sounds great!"

That's a good description of the kind of this that makes me feel Bluetooth is rubbish... I remember it's inception .. "designed by a comitteee" lots of industry hype and much fussing over standards but delivering a very narrow and prescriptive range of use excluding and creative or imaginative applications.... Never occured to authors that someone might want to share an audio source as more than one listener and if the did, the music industry vested interests would instinctively reject the idea of two people getting something for the price of one !

This usually happens when your speakers has hidden feature, try to look for for appear option. When trying the next time make sure that your paired device is not connected to it, as most probably it can not connect to two devices at time.

How to pair bluetooth

One device sends the Bluetooth signal. For example, your smartphone can send a Bluetooth signal to play music from the phone on a portable speaker, or you might send it to a wireless earphone to make hands-free phone calls.
The second device receives the Bluetooth signal and plays the sound or picture.
To pair them, first set the receiving device (example: Bluetooth speaker) in "pairing mode". This is usually done by pressing a certain button on the receiving device for 3 or 4 seconds. Next, on your sending device (example: your phone) open the Bluetooth settings and select to search for Bluetooth devices. Your receiving device should appear in the list of available Bluetooth devices. Tap to connect to the receiving device. This may take up to 15 seconds. You should see a message on one or both devices saying "Connected".

How do I connect my Sharp HT-SB30 soundbar to Samsung UHD7500 TV

Should be able to use Bluetooth. Need to "pair" the devices (the TV and the soundbar). On soundbar, press On/Standby to power it on, press Input to select Bluetooth (pairing indicator blinks), press & hold pairing button until pairing indicator blinks quickly. Now go to the TV's setup menus: Sound > Speaker Settings > TV Speaker > SoundShare Settings, Add New Device=On, select the Sharp GT-SB30 from device list. If passcode, password, etc is needed, enter 4 zeros (0000). After the devices are paired. the pairing indicator on the soundbar should stop blinking. The pairing information should be retained so you only have to do this one time unless you do a full reset on the TV or soundbar.

How to get bluetooth speaker to connect already apired and is showing but wont connect

Hello, I have already met this issue: after pairing a bluetooth speaker on a first host (computer or iPad), then pairing it on a second device (as another computer for example), when I try to pair it again to its original host device, it doesn't work.
The solution consist in
1) on the host computer, in the list of the Bluetooth devices, delete the line of the bluetooth speaker and forget this bluetooth device,
2) push on the Bluetooth detect button on Bluetooth speaker,
3) scan the bluetooth devices on your computer host, and when you see the bluetooth speaker in the list, select it.

It pairs for a few seconds then quits

Has the speaker been paired with another device?

Is the device (phone, tablet, etc) paired with another bluetooth device that is within range?

If the answer is YES to either of the above questions this could be what is causing the problem. Please note that most devices (phones, tablets, etc.) can only connect to ONE bluetooth device at a time. Also note that the BT-100 speaker can only connect to ONE device at a time.

If you continue to have trouble feel free to contact the manufacturer at support1@digixmedia.com or going to http://www.contelusa.net
