To keep a cutting board in good condition never rub it with vegetable oil as it will eventually go rancid. Most cutting board conditioners seem to be top secret as they will not divulge what they have in it. Upon researching the internet i discovered that you could use paraffin or a food grade mineral oil. Mineral oil although a byproduct of gasoline manufacture is not toxic as almost all other petroleum products are. Brake fluid and transmission fluids are based off of mineral oil... but it is fine orally used for medical purposes as well. Cutting boards need to be turned over periodically and oiled monthly especially as the weather turns to wet weather... or as it goes back to cold dry air.
I also have had the exact problem with my PCM D 50`s (I have 20 machines because I teach radio journalism). 8 of my D 50`s are not working. They don´t start, freezes and nothing helps. I´ve been in contact with Sony and they say it´s a problem with "the power board". What´s the problem, they will not tell. It would cost me about 300 dollars to fix the problem. Instead I´ve bought new Sony M 10 for less money. They work just fine.
Three blinks to standby light to Sony LCD TVs, denotes a fault with its main power regulator board. If the set is in warranty period, contact the authorized service centre. If you wish to know more about this fault, http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ check this link. Pull up older posts there, either by its left side bar, or
see it in Timslide option.
I had a similar problem with my Phillips 42 in. LCD HD TV.
Here's the problem. The Power Supply Board. I opened my TV
up(warranty was up of course) and found several bad capacitors.
Phillips and several other companies were sold capacitors that although
were highly rated failed within 5 years because of a lack of
preservatives. All sorts of electronic equipment is now being effected
due to these defective capacitors.
1. Take it in and have it fixed
2. Open it up, check the board for faulty capacitors(bulged or leaking) Buy a new Power supply board and install it.
3. Remove PSB, remove faulty capacitors and replace with compatible new ones.

You have caps an a transistor on your powersup that is shorted. Take to somebody to fix powersupply.
