This answer pertains to your question which is similar to another I just provided some input for.

If you have a voltmeter, with the thermostat in the heat position and turned several degrees above room temperature, check for 24volts across terminals W and C. If you do not have 24 v there, the problem is in the thermostat or the wires between the furnace and the thermostat.

If you do have 24 volts between W and C, the problem is in the furnace....No idea what brand of furnace you have or whether or not its a high efficiency or not, so here's some generic things to look for.
Look for a "manual reset limit switch" in the furnace vestibule or towards the top inside on the front panel. Also some manufacturers have a manual reset limit switch mounted on the blower. Check for 24v on the gas valve...if its a three terminal valve, the middle terminal is usually a dummy. The two outside terminals should be the 24v to the coil that causes it to open on a call for heat.

Oh yeah, once the pilot was lit manually, make sure the knob was rotated from "pilot" to the "on" position.

You could have open pressure switch caused by a vent blockage if its high efficiency. But if its high efficiency, there should be a set of LED's to blink a failure code. If so, count the blinks and look for the list of failures on the inside of the door of the furnace.

Some how you have disconnected the sensor that tells the main burner that the fan is on. Its trying to light but cant. On some models there is a air pressure switch that reads the pressure inside the vent pipe itself. It will have a small hose on it and if that has cracked or was not replaced it wont light. This is how its supposed to work--- vent fan comes on,sensor confirms fan is on,hot surface ignighter starts to glow red,and main burner is opened, another sensor confirms that main burner is lit, then hot surface ignighter turns off. Hope this helps.

Pilot lites but burner doesn't

If your pilot light is ignighting, it means only that you are getting gas to the heater, if it doesn't stay burning after holding the button down for 30-60 seconds, it could be 1 of 2 things or even both. The second one and the easiest is that you oxygen sensor click off you flame due to you not having enuff good clean clear air coming into the machine, maybe a blockage or something...check it out, maybe us some canned air to clean it out good. The 1st. and most likely
reason is your thermocoupler has gone and died on you and you need to go to the store and get one just like the one you have or at least one as long as the one you have ...hey! good luck! -Brady3

Gas furnace blower fan blow iginition lite come on burner will not lite, if the burner do lite up they only stay on for about five seconds

Could be 1 of 2 problems:
1) Pressure hoses dry rotted or stretched. remove hoses at connectors and cut the bad ends off. Re-attach.
2) Flame sensor is oxidized. You can clean the sensor with steel wool. If that doesn't solvethe problem, replace the flame sensor.

I have a ventless heater. The polite will stay lite, but when you turnit on it will only stay lite for 10 to 15 minutes then goes out polite and all

The odp pilot is probably dirty and causing it to shut off due to a false 'low oxygen' situation. Turn the unit off and let it cool completely. Have a drinking straw handy. Locate the opening for the pilot light and use the straw to blow a stream of air across the top of (not into) the pilot assembly. This will create a small vacuum and pull the small particles of dust out of the pilot head. Re-light the pilot light. Note that it should be much stronger and 'bluer' than it was previously. Turn the heater to 'on'. If this does not solve your issue, I would replace the thermocouple. Hope this helps.

Coleman Furnace

Based on the info you have given here, I am going to make some assumptions. In "cleaning out all the components" you cleaned the air filter or changed it, cleaned the duct-work, and the intake combustion chamber? When the "furnace stays lite" the pilot and the main burner stays on? Lastly, when it "continues to blow cold air" is this when the main burner is on after long periods of time? If the answers are all yes, then maybe some of the ducts have come off, or the burners aren't working correctly.
