SOURCE: Convert to LP (propane)

Contact Miele directly via their website. This would require an orifice change if it is possible for this appliance. Since natural gas, butane, and propane are all forms of LP (Liquified Petroleum), it is usually, but not always, possible.

SOURCE: Propane to Natural Gas Conversion

Very simple, all you need is a 1/2" wrench, or a small adjustable wrench,

I HATE TO TRY AND EXPLANE THIS FOR FEAR SOME THING MAY GO WRONG DID YOU FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER. FROM NATURAL GAS TO LP YOU SHOULD OF HAD TO CHANGE THE POSISTION OF THE ORVICE IN THE REGULATER THAT IS WHY YOU ARN'T GETTING THRU THE REGULATOR CHECK YOUR DIRECTIONS AGAIN SOME TIME YOU HAVE TO THIGHTEN THE NUT ON THE REGULATOR SO IT DISTORTS THE ORFICE TO LP, AND SOME MODELS YOU HAVE TO TURN THE ORFICE OVER. Soot deposits from my brand new downdraft jenn-air gas cooktop

Is this on LP or Natural gas? If LP was it converted to LP? In any event,The air shutter must be adjusted on the gas burner tube. You need more air. The valve orifice may also need adjusting.

Converting cooktop regulator from NG to LP

LP is higher in pressure than NG, so regulator spring pressure has to be greater.

Converted a ge gas to lp. the oven and broiler has too much flame

You must close the gas valve orifice. There is a gas valve (silver or grey colored rectangular shaped piece which feeds the burner(s)) that has a brass or gold-colored hex nut. This nut (1/2 inch) needs to be tighten down clockwise to the stop point. This will regulate the flame.

Convert to LP?

If it is possible, then the orifice has to be changed. The regulator may need to be changed as well. I am a certified LP technician for recreational vehicles, but I don't know enough about this particular appliance to say for sure if it can be converted. The best thing is to contact Miele directly, but this sort of conversion always requires a different orifice. Note that propane, butane, and natural gas are all forms of LP (Liquified petroleum), so conversion between the 3 is usually possible
