Have you checked the gas valve as it sounds like the power unit which works with the thermocouple is dropping out .

you either have a back draft blowing out the pilot light, or a bad thermal coupling. if coupling is bad it will shut down the gas flow therefore shutting off pilot light. its a safety measure to stop the gas flow if pilot goes out. replace thermal coupling, that may do it. good-day ! but shut off gas first !

We have a residential Lochinvar Solution Boiler (model RBN090). Around 7 years old. For past 2 weeks pilot light keeps going out. 2 repairmen have come out. We have replaced the Gas regulator, the roll...

Take notice of the wind conditions when it goes out. If there is a draft, the wind can come in the room with the water heat from the flue and blow it out. Or it can come in the room from another way and exit from the flue and blow it out.

Have an older model Tappan furnace. I have

they make a specific one for this unit, but first check and make sure its not being blown out by too much down draft from the exhaust stack or a fan on the unit, watch it when it shuts down and see if the flame gets blown out or just goes out by itself

Air is coming out of the hole where you light the pilot and blows out the i cant light the pilot. it was working fine until this morning

You have a major down draft. You will need a torch to overcome the air coming out of the pilot hole. Or if the heater has another door that can be opened to allow the air to escape there.

Pilot light and furnace seems to work fine but during the night the pilot goes out. What can I do to fix this? Is it the thermostat, thermocoupler, gas line? Dave

My experience with this is that first replace the thermocouple. As thermocouples age they sometimes become less efficient and intermitent. If you still have the problem check that the groves cut in the burner tubes are not plugged because sometimes an uneven flame will blow the pilot out upon ignition. Also any drafts around the furnace can blow out the pilot. Make certain that all flame shields are installed correctly. I have even had pilots blow out when a door was opened causing an excessive draft. And make sure your draft is operating properly and not restricted.

Gas water heater pilot goes out only on very hot days

It sounds more like the pilot is being blown out by drafting. If there is any open shielding at or below the pilot light line , it is very possible for it to blow out.Hold a tissue between your fingers and ck for drafts around the burner and pilot area. If it's the case, The drafting needs blocking.the exhaust will still exhaust because of the heat it generates and confined location in the combustion chamber. Good Luck.

Cozy heater 35000 btu pilot light goes out every 4 days

The thermocouple needs to get red hot. If the pilot flame is too low or too high or if it is not pointed on the thermocouple well, it won't stay hot enough. If the pilot flame is too low, a draft caused by opening a door could blow it out. If correcting this doesn't fix it, it could be a bad thermocouple or control. The factory assembly on these heaters is not the best.

Williams 3003622 Wall Mounted Panel Heater Draft Blows Pilot Out.

yes. open cover, set to pilot and push in then light with a long nosed butane lighter like the ones used for lighting stoves. Hold pilot in for a few minutes, then close pilot cover and turn pilot knob to on position. that should take care of it unless you need a new coupler. good luck as the couplers go out on these heaters prematurely.

Cozy furnace

The pilot orifice could be dirty causing the pilot flame to be too small. Unscrew the pilot tube at the pilot assembly. The orifice is inside. Remove the orifice and blow it out with compressed air only. Reassemble and see if that fixes the problem. If the pilot flame is set too low, sometimes opening a door will cause a draft to blow out the pilot. If the thermocouple is good and the pilot flame is set properly, the control valve may be bad.
