I too have received several similar requests in the past; key expressions to arouse suspicion are 'chosen' (why not 'selected'?) and 'project book' (what exactly is that?)

However, if you have the slightest suspicion that something might be a scam, do resist the temptation to reply to it; doing so only confirms the validity of your e-mail address (thus opening you to further spams and scams) - and also validates for the scammers that this method is likely to work...

How do set up an email account for the first time

The same way an eight year old does ;-).

Seriously... if the person has a mobile phone that receives text messages, they can get an account from any web-mail provider.

If you have a mobile phone (with text messaging):

  • Gmail and Yahoo Mail will work. A text message will be sent to
    the phone for verification.

If you are a close relative: child, parent, spouse, etc. and are available to help them manage verification when needed, that's OK, but DO NOT use the phone of a friend or person of convenience.
  • Simply go to gmail.com or mail.yahoo.com and click on the link to create an account, then carefully follow the instructions on the form and pay close attention to the username which becomes the first part of the email address: e.g. user.name@gmail.com. If you are John Smith john.smith and johnsmith are already taken so you will need to try something like john.smith1934@gmail.com or johnsmith1934@gmail.com (or some other number that makes sense and is easily remembered).
If you DO NOT have a mobile phone (with text messaging):

  • You will probably need to get an account from outlook.com which does not insist on having a mobile phone for verification.
  • If no phone is entered for an outlook account, an alternative email address is required for verification.

If you are a close relative: child, parent, spouse, etc. and are available to help them manage verification when needed, that's OK, but DO NOT use the email address of a friend or person of convenience.
  • Simply go to outlook.com and click on the link to create an account, then carefully follow the instructions on the form and pay close attention to the username which becomes the first part of the email address: e.g. user.name@gmail.com. If you are John Smith john.smith and johnsmith are already taken so you will need to try something like john.smith1934@gmail.com or johnsmith1934@gmail.com (or some other number that makes sense and is easily remembered).
  • When you get the the place on the form where it asks for a phone number, leave it blank, but enter an alternate email address instead into the field for the alternate email address.

www.viewbix.comWhether you've noticed or not, you have a new primary email address listed as your Facebook contact and most likely, it's an address you've never used.
The social-networking site has quietly replaced your default email addresses such as Gmail and Yahoo! with your @Facebook.com address, an email service option the company launched a few years ago and synced with Timeline in April.
"As we announced back in April, we've been updating addresses on Facebook to make them consistent across our site," a Facebook spokesperson told Mashable. "In addition to everyone receiving an address, we're also rolling out a new setting that gives people the choice to decide which addresses they want to show on their Timelines."
First spotted on Saturday by blogger Gervase Markham, the email address you once listed as your point of contact is now hidden in the site's database and your assigned @Facebook.com address is highlighted for friends to see.
If you ever changed your Facebook vanity URL, that serves as the prefix of your Facebook email address (i.e. Facebook.com/John.Smith would be John.Smith@Facebook.com). For those that never added a vanity URL,

Sir, I got a text on my mobile number, that, your resume has been selected by company HRD. your offer letter already attached with link. kindly download your letter by link http://ifile.it/j1q7ho8. but i...

You should probably contact the people who sent you the initial text as we are in no way affiliated with ifile. I can tell you that what you probably need to do is copy and paste the address that you were sent into the address bar of your web browser. You should be taken to a download page that will allow you to download the offer letter that is mentioned in the text. Once you have downloaded the file you should then be able to view it on your computer. It almost sounds like you are unsure of who sent you the text. You may want to carefully review the offer letter you were sent to ensure that it is a legitimate offer from the company you are working for as there are a number of Internet scams out there. One such scam tells you that you have been chosen as a candidate for some incredible high paying job that you did not apply for. The letter goes on to say that you have to put up some kind of a deposit before your airline ticket will be sent to you. If you stop and think about it for a moment you will realize that no legitimate company asks you to pay for a job interview. Good luck.

How do i verify a gmail acct as an actual business gmail? safe.delivery18@gmail.com is the address that claims to be a vehicle transportation company and I want to make sure they aren't a scam

Hello,

Being gmail is a free email service it is hard to tell. Most notable businesses would really see the need to register their own domain and have personalized email addresses from that to give their customers added trust.

Just remember, gmal is your friend. I did a google search on that email address and it doesn't come up with anything suspicious. It is very likely that if it is a scam, someone else would have been scammed as well and posted information on it to google for others to be aware.

There is no harm in emailing this address and just let them know your consern. Even ask for a phone number so you can talk to them in person about whatever business deal you want to do with them.

When they email back pay attention to how the emails are worded. Are they asking you to do things that are tipical of scams? Write money orders, money grams, give visa numbers... etc?

If they are honest and truely do want to do business with you, i'm sure they will be happy to speak with you over the phone and everything you ask of them will be with an "above board" friendly reply.

Hope this helps,

Chris

Did you apply for that job? I don't think so. It's unbelievable to get a job offer without your application since job aspirants are 50% more than the available jobs these days. Please don't consider this kind of email as Genuine. There are many Scam emails offering jobs, winning lottery, proposing business partnership etc...etc.. Once you reply them, they will send you a link to download offer letter or email with fake information, and you'll be asked to contact this and that people, they will finally tempt you to pay fee for registration or something else. There's been many people fallen in their trap. So, please never try to proceed forward with them, simply ignore and they'll stop bothering you.
Let me know if you need further help.
Good Luck.

Please be careful about scams. These days there are many corrupt and criminalized users send emails and SMS fro countries like UK and US offering you fake jobs just to get your money or by claiming you to give you Visa so that you send them money for processing your e-documents or paper documents and you do not hear from them after that. The greatest noticeable things that these people send mails from email portals like gmail, com, Yahoo.com,ymail.com not from well known company domains like Microsoft.com, Shell.com, nokia.com etc.
In your case the email address is Skoda.appointment@gmail.com. This is a fake email of a person who is disguised as a company "Skoda" This email should be like hr@Skoda.com. And Please remember that every company that will hire you. It will higher you after a process even over an internet and will not typically ask you for money.

Can i setup local email address , then go offline , then recieve a file there ?

Hello Sir,
FORMAT of EMAIL:Email addresses follow a uniform format. Every email address must have a local-part followed by the @ sign and end with the domain part. The domain portion of the email address (the part after the @ sign) is usually the name of website offering the email service. For instance, if you are using one of a free service such as Gmail or Hotmail, then the domain portion would be the domain name of the website (@gmail.com or @hotmail.com). For companies or individuals with their own domain and/or website the domain part of the email address is usually the company's name followed by .com or .net.

You can Create Email for Free If you have your own Web address. Then there may have Email account such as Company Domain.
Hope this make you better...Thanks for Contacting FixYa...
