Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

Spin Terrirble wobble on the spin cycle. I've checked for levelness(sp?) and it is off slightly but it wasn't doing this before today so I don't believe that is the problem. Even if I hold the machine it continues. I did try to level the machine but the rear feet seem to be connected to some sort of self leveling bar and I could not secure a position.

    Thanks but that's not the problem. Actually it seems to have solved itself.

    Washer wobbles and vibrates constantly at spin cycle. Have leveled it and the problem continues. Have tried adjusting clothing inside and does not help problem. I have a Kenmore 700 series top load washer. The washer is quiet series and it just recently began doing this. Any ideas?

    I have the same problem. Rearrangement of the load does not solve the problem. The washer is perfectly level.

Does this happen with every load? I've had this happen occasionally but it was caused by one or two heavier when wet pieces of clothing that caused the tub to get off center and it would wobble out of control. By just rearranging the wet clothes to balance the tub it stopped wobbling. But only after making sure that the heaviest objects were on opposite sides if the tub.

Loud in spin cycle/throws oil

If the pulley wobbles, it sounds like a bad bearing, and that could account for the oil/grease. One more thing you might check, mine acted bad in the spin cycle, but mine was the leveling spring at the bottom of the drum. The way to tell from the top is if the drum tends to lean forward instead of being centered when sitting. Good luck.

My machine is extremely loud when it spins. what do I need to do

I would guess you need to level it. Most washers and dryers have some sort of self leveling in their feet but some do not. Attempt to lift the rear of the machine up two to four inches and then set it back down. Check to see if it wobbles. If is still wobbles you may need to adjust the foot using an open ended wrench.

Perfect level sounds very strange

Check the leveling feet on your machine. With the machine turned off, and with a small carpenter's level, check to make sure the machine is level front to back and side to side. Then give the machine a shake in each direction to make sure that the feet (which are adjustable). If the machine wobbles-even a little bit- adjust the feet until all 4 feet are in contact with the floor and the machine fails to wobble when pushed.
Rerun a load and see if the machine has stopped sending morse code...
you can also make sure that the fill hoses aren't banging into the machine or the wall during the cycle.
let me know if you have success!

Washing machine drum is very wobbly

* General tips
* Balance the load
* Level the machine
* Inspect the water pump for a blockage
* Inspect the coupling
* Inspect the transmission
* Adjust the drive belt tension
* Check the motor bearings
* Check the drum brakes

The above are possibly the general remedies for this problem.But possible if the problem still persists after this, possibly the drum bearings might have been damaged during the previous heavy vibrations.Please do post comments.Will be glad to help you out.Good luck.

Brand new front load kenmore wobbles and moves across floor

Unless your front loader is set firmly on concrete and leveled to perfection, the force of a heavy wash load spinning in excess of 1000rpm will create a bit of vibration and noise.A firm footing is your best defense against to much movement.
Also due to the earlier movements during the spin cycle, the shocks that are used to dampen the spin cycle might have been broken or damaged.
If the problem persists inspite of proper levelling, please do check for the shocks or might have them replaced them for good.
