Question about Technics Audio Players & Recorders

Open Question

Hello again, does anyone know the remote control model number for a Technics SL-PG470A CD Player?

I need to know the model number of the Remote Control Unit that goes with the Technics SL-PG470A CD Player. I need to buy a replacement but can't until I know the model number. I'm fairly certain it begins with RAK-??????. Many thanks in advance. Stephen.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: Volume Control??

Unlike low-end hi-fi systems where you buy one box that does everything, the CD player you have is part of a component hi-fi system (i.e. you buy your CD player, tuner, amplifer etc. as separate items.) This is why there is no volume control. It needs to be connected to an amplifer. It's on the amp that you will find the volume control and where you connect the speakers. (When you connect it to your television, you are just using that amp in the TV instead.)

The CD player did originally ship with a remote control, but I don't know where you would be able to buy one on its own. You may find the the remote does allow you to alter the output level of the CD player, but you still need to connect it to a proper amp to get it to work.

Hope this helps,

Matt

I have a kenwood rc-r0504 remote control. It is a multipurpose remote. How do I get it to control a Technics SL-PD887 CD changer?

Unfortunately, the RC-R0504 remote is not a universal remote. It can only control some Kenwood cassette decks and CD players, in addition to the receiver or other audio hardware that it came with. Since it wasn't programmed with codes for other device, there's no way to make it control a Technics CD changer.

I wish that I had better news for you. You'll need a different type of remote or to use both the Kenwood and Technics remotes.

I dont know to plug the cd player to the amplifier.

Hello Thail2547,
You are a bit pushy, sending three "reminder messages" in less than one hour, considering that this is a free service ;-)
I have done quite a long search for you...
Apparently the Technics products are manufactured by Panasonics.
I was unable to locate the user manual for the SL-PJ37AEB-K Technics CD Player. Sorry.
However, I had better luck with the SU-X101EB-K amplifier.
Go to:

(Be careful to copy ALL of the URL address).
Hope this helps.

Remote controle

Unfortunately, the remote for this unit has been discontinued and is no longer available from the Pansonic (the parent company of Technics). However, here is the model number, just in case you might be able to find it from a retailer who might have a few left in stock: EUR645270 - just type in this number in google, and you'll get some results which may or may not help you.
