Stove top is working but neither the broiler nor bake is working. Cannot bale anything but the stove top cookers are fine. What could be the problem

Stoves are wired for 220 volt, but the range top will operate on 110 volt so your Breaker should be a single 220 volt breaker but can be achieved using two 110 volt breakers if one of the breakers blow the range top may still operate but the oven will not. So my suggestion is to Check your breakers to see if you are operating on two 110 volt breakers and one is possibly tripped.

Thumbs Up if Helpful, Feedback is Appreciated!!!

I have a F & P Aeron Qantum built-in Oven about 7 years old. It has hardly been used. The top and bottom grills do not come on. The light and air blower does come on. Any ideas?

I am assuming you have an electric unit.......Most likely it is a 220V and is actually 2 110V circuits....there are 2 fuses or circuit breakers that power your unit...replace the fuse or reset the breaker ... what ever applies to you....if the breaker trips or fuse blows again you will need a quilified tech. to assist you further. Please reply.

The oven has just started tripping the fuse box, where do I start looking ?.

The oven element is the most likely culprit. With the oven turned off check the element for any holes/blow marks. When this occurs the element short circuits to earth causing the circuit breaker to trip.

Main oven trips electric when switched on top oven works fine also grill . did notice that fan was making a noise

If the fuse or circuit breaker is tripping it is most likely a short circuit in the oven element.

Bottom oven trips cicuit breaker.

As a licensed electrician I've dealt with similar situations many times before.
Your connections are getting bad (loose, carboned up and corroded) from the continual over loading and over heating. This causes more resistance and thus more voltage drop causing higher amperage. It's time to either replace the entire sub-assembly or the oven, it's just going to continue to get worse and will eventually cause damage to the bus in your breaker box.

My Kenmore Continuous Cleaning oven is older - it is running, or not running on a 50 amp circuit breaker. I can cook on the stove top, but the oven will only stay going for about 5 minutes before it trips...

If you are tripping a 50 A breaker, you have major problems. First check the breaker, to make sure it is in reality, tripping at 50 amps. As they get older they can suffer heat damage, and will trip at lower currents. How old is it? Does it visibly look like bad (burnt, etc) Is it loose on the mounting buss? Burnt smell? If everything checks out then go to the oven and look for loose connections. There will be heat where there is a 50 amp current draw. If the oven is suspect, I would seriously consider dumping it as soon as possible. This is serious fire safety hazard. Again, loose connections. Check all of them, both AC+ legs, Neutral, and ground.

Bottom oven of dacor double oven

I found the lower circuit breaker had been tripped. That didn't fix the problem but upon further inspection whoever had worked on the unit years ago had dropped a screwdriver that had lodged between the oven wall and the rear casing and shorted out the lower heating element. I removed the screwdriver and oven works fine now. I don't think that will solve the cmmclow problem but maybee the curcuit breaker is tripped.
