If you mean your cell phone, get a USB A to a plug that fits your phone and plug in in your computer. A new drive should show up on computer (use Windows Explorer or file manager. Then just just drag and drop files back and forth.

Ethernet cable. Like a phone cable but the end is bigger and won't fit in a phone jack. Usually yellow or blue.

What wire go where for temperature gauge on a 1998 Buick park avenue

Sir ,what are you trying to do ? Your Temp gauge isn't working ? Before you attempt to fix something you need to know how it works. What wire are you talking about ? Coolant Temperature
The PCM sends engine coolant temperature data to the instrument cluster through the class 2 serial data line. The instrument cluster uses a look up table in order to determine needle deflection. The instrument cluster uses a smoothing filter in order to secure a continuous response.
The coolant temp. sensor is an input to the engine computer .

Basic sensor testing 1/2/3 wire test don't presume it is the sensor.

There are three BASIC sensors,/ 1. wire that usually works off of ResistancesMORE or grounding./2.wier that sends a 5 volt signal.with a return signal to the computer./ 3.wire that has a 5 volt signal from the computer and a return data to the computer and the other weir is a ground.{ Always test using a digital volt oms. meter.}

Scanner wont scan to PC does it need to be connected with a wire?

Yes! now a days scanner usually come with a USB wire. It could be wireless too but most cases they have to be wired? Do you have a wireless network at home? If not there has to be some sort of connection from pc to scanner. Otherwise how can you send the data from the scanner to your computer?

What are the 2 extra wires on the back of my 2001 delco radio

the purplr wire are data wires and are needed to hookup to the olds alero computer to allow it to turn on. these radios do not use acc. power wire to turn on. they get a data signal from the Body control module in the car it is installed originally. If you know what you are doing you can hookup up a BCM from a diiferent car and send the data from it to the radio. but takes alot of time and knowledge.

Networking Configuration A network architecture is a set of standards for how computers are physically connected and how signals are passed between hosts. Some typical network architectures are described in the table below.
Network Architecture Description Ethernet Ethernet is a wired networking standard and is the most common networking architecture used in LANs (both in business and home networks). Dial-up Modem Dial-up networking is a common way to connect a computer (often your home computer) to a remote network, such as the Internet or a business network. A modem on each computer uses the phone lines to send and receive data. DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) DSL is a fast-growing alternative to dial-up networking to connect to the Internet. DSL uses regular phone lines to send digital broadband signals. ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) ISDN is another alternative to traditional dial-up that can be used to connect to the Internet or to directly communicate with another computer connected to the ISDN network. ISDN is more common in Europe than in the U.S. ISDN can use regular telephone wiring, but must be connected to a special ISDN network. Wireless Wireless networking uses radio waves or infrared light (with the air as the transmission medium) to send data between hosts. Wireless networks are common in homes, businesses, airports, and hotels. Most wireless networks connect into larger wired networks (such as LANs) which are in turn connected to the Internet. Communication between hosts on a network generally takes one of three forms:
  • Simplex--one-way communication from a sender to a receiver.
  • Half-duplex--two-way communication between two hosts. Communication only travels in one direction at a time.
  • Duplex--two-way communication between hosts. Communication can travel in both directions simultaneously.

Lexmark X4650 - The printer works correctly wired or wireless, but the scanner does not work properly - it cannot send data back to the computer by wire or wireless, only to memory card plugged directly...

Hi, Thanks for your posting in FixYa.

It assume to be incomplete installation for the Scanner drivers for your All-in-one Lexmark printer.

Is the data saving on memory card or not? May be the drivers are not updated or the Registration / Online Activation is incomplete.

Let me know if it helps or if you need further help. Dont forget to Rate the solution.

Cant unload photos from phone to P.C.

Most camera phones have the ability to send photos in the form of an email. Of course, this is the way wireless providers would like you to do it since they get to charge additional fees for sending the picture mail. Normally, wireless providers charge a flat rate to send a picture as an email through their network, but you could also be billed on a per-kilobyte rate for the data used.

To e-mail photos to yourself, you'll need to make sure your phone is configured to send e-mails. Most phones purchased from the carrier are setup out of the box, but you'll need to determine that on a per-case basis. The process for selecting an image to send will vary on the individual phone model, so refer to the instructions in your telephone manual for instructions. When you're ready to send the picture, place your e-mail address in the "To:" field, and hit send. Bluetooth 33f594066a59a60a--32a96d82-11026e4c1f5--7f131573051387.jpgIf your phone is equipped with short-range Bluetooth wireless technology, you can often send images to a similarly equipped notebook or desktop computer. The best part about Bluetooth is that images transferred in this manner are completely free to you. Whether you send 1 picture or 50, it's still free. Not all phones are equipped with Bluetooth, but even less computers come with the technology built-in. However, you can add the technology to your computer by purchasing a USB Bluetooth module from a local electronics retailer. Don't worry about it being expensive, considering most modules retail for about $25.

Sending photos to a computer using Bluetooth is fairly simple... once you pair the phone to your computer. Sometimes the pairing process goes smoothly, and sometimes it doesn't. Either way, once you've gotten the two talking to each other, sending images to and from the phone is a snap. On top of this, Bluetooth allows you to send images and files to other Bluetooth phones without wires or charges.

Not all Bluetooth phones will be able to send images to a computer. Some carriers disable the file transfer profile before the phone is sent to the stores for sale, thereby forcing the users to either buy a data kit or send e-mails. This is what's referred to as the "no free lunch" approach to customer service. It's reasonable for them to assume that most would not spend fifty-dollars on an accessory, so they'll get to charge your account for every picture you send or make a monthly fee on a picture package.
Data Cable Any phone that has a built-in camera will most likely be able to connect to a computer via a USB data connection kit. Data kits are phone specific, so you'll need to make sure you get the correct one for your model phone. The kit includes the cable that plugs your phone into your computer's USB jack, as well as software to assist in transferring files to and from the phone.

Once connected, you'll have the same file transfer abilities as you would with Bluetooth, except with a wire. Unfortunately, you cannot transfer images to anything but a computer, so don't expect to move a picture from your phone to a friend's. Though data connect kits are often more expensive than Bluetooth modules, they do transfer files at a faster speed.
Removable Memory Cards 33f594066a59a60a--32a96d82-11026e4c1f5--7d412120809090.jpgMany newer phones have a slot for an external memory cards, especially models with higher resolution cameras. Since the images are stored on a removable memory card, transferring images to the computer is a breeze. All you need to do is pick up an external memory card reader from a local electronics store. You'll need to know what kind of card your phone uses before you go shopping to make sure the reader you buy supports the correct format.

Once your card reader is in place, merely remove the memory card from your phone, and insert it into the card reader. The computer will recognize the card and assign it a drive letter. Actually moving images is as easy as using the "cut and paste" commands in Windows Explorer. Just reinsert the card back into the phone when you're ready to take new pictures

Hope this may help;
