Question about Canon Powershot A1200 12. Megapixel Compact Camera Silver 2. Lcd 4x
Here is a quick summary...dropped camera, now flash does not work. Red light goes on to focus, but broken arrow flashes. It was suggested to try a factory reset before sending off for repair. The camera is also at least 4 years old. Here is the question... How do you make a factory reset work? Is it in a camera manual somewhere?
You should find the reset to factory default option within the camera's menu options.
Try this too: Remove memory card before resetting.
Turn off the camera, and leave the camera without inserting the battery & memory card overnight allowing it to reset.

SOURCE: Let me clarify it is a Canon A1200 Powershot. Dropped camera on floor, hit corner of camera. Everything works except when I went to use flash, it sent out the red light sensor but no flash. The brok
Blinking red means just focusing. Blinking arrow means that flash is not ready. Try to factory reset it but if that doesn't help bring camers to repair.
