Question about Amazon Kindle Fire HD
My kindle fire won't take my amazon password to register it
THE MOST OBVIOUS REASON IS, THAT YOU ARE NOT TYPING IN THE CORRECT PASSWORD, OR MAYBE THERE IS AN UPPER OR LOWER CASE IN THE PASSWORD THAT IS BEING OMITTED.
IF YOU DONT HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE FOR YOUR PASSWORDS, SO YOU CAN REFER TO THEM. YOU WILL BE OUT OF LUCK. ALWAYS WRITE THEM DOWN. AND IF YOU SAY, "I WILL MAKE THIS PASSWORD BECAUSE IT'S EASY, AND I WILL REMEMBER IT"....YOU ARE WRONG. YOUR MEMORY ISNT AS GOOD AS YOU THINK IT IS.... ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE ARE SO MANY PASSWORDS TO REMEMBER NOW A DAYS.
ALWAYS MAKE A PASSWORD LIST. I HAVE 49 PASSWORDS ON MY LIST, AND EVERY TIME I UPDATE IT AND PRINT IT...I TAKE A PICTURE OF IT WITH MY PHONE. I AM NOT WORRIED IF I LOSE MY PHONE, I HAVE MY PASSWORDS IN CODE THAT ONLY I CAN UNDERSTAND AND KNOW WHAT THEY MEAN.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Brightness on my Kindle Touch 3G
The Kindle 3G using E-Ink does not have a backlight therefore there are no brightness controls provided which in turn helps to increase the battery life.
If you need to have a reading light when using the Kindle then you will need to purchase one of the many clip-on LED reading lights that are available on the Amazon and other web sites.

SOURCE: i need to reset my amazon kindle
You can enter the password as "resetmykindle" in place of your lost or forgotten password and this will reset your kindle for you.
Doing the above will delete all the content from your Kindle and will also deregister the device so once complete you will need to go to the Kindle Support web site and register the Kindle and transfer any purchases back to the device.

Hold the power button to the right for 30 seconds. (Time them- not "One thousand one, one thousand two, ect." because this isn't precise enough.) This will reboot the Kindle and it should work. The reboot may take a while if it has been a long time since your last reboot.
