Be very careful with working on a television as soon as you open some of you open it the so you will need a sodering kit and another diode which should have a part number on so you can order it from which maker the television is. make sure it is unplugged before you open cause those store electricity in them so give it a couple mins. before opening .....thank you

How do I fix my TV that I think was struck by Lighting.

Fault to its main board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

Power light flashing

Go to www.shopjimmy.com and locate the power supply board for your tv. It's not hard to do if you're not afraid to open the back of your tv.

Tried to get some one to tell me if I should repair or replace tv

If the TV is totally dead, check the fuse. Check power supply components. unless it is accessed for circuit damage it is difficult to say whether it's worth repairing. If you have Insurance take the claim.

Sanyo dp32648 possible lighting strike, whats needed to fix and a possible cost an can i repair myself?

It wont turn on? Well if it is damaged by lightning the only thing damaged would be the varactors on the power supply. They are there to absorb tremendous surge of electricity. The same way a surge protector works. A worse case scenario is the power supply board is fried up. Then being a non electronic technician you can purchase the whole board or order on line and install them yourself. If you brought it to a shop they will charged you for the labor and the board. Don't buy used boards on the internet because a lot of them are no good in my own experience. Get a new one for about a little over a hundred buck or so.

My 62 inch mitsubishi tv was hit by lighting

Try to find a local repair centre & ask if they can give you an estimate on the cost to repair. A lightning strike can cause either minor damage such as just an internal fuse blown or can cause severe damage which will wipe out entire circuit boards which can be a costly repair. In this case it's usually not worth repairing.

Lighting strike. Fixable? Worth fixing?

The cost to fix it is too high. And normally it affects almost all components.
Take it to an expert near you and analyze the situation if you want, but if it was me I would thow that away and buy a new one.

Lightning Strike?

Assuming this line is across the screen horizontally (side to side), this means the vertical deflection circuitry is dead. In late model sets, there is a Integrated circuit package which drives the vertical yoke coils. Possible defects: the I.C. itself, bad solder connections where it solders to the board, missing voltage source to this I.C. (often around +24 volts), or a bad electrolytic capacitor in the associated circuitry. This latter often results in a non-linear picture, or less than full deflection condition, rather than a thin line only. It is possible lightning caused this problem, (I've seen some rather illogical damage from lightning ) perhaps it produced enough of a surge to pop the I.C. or a fusible resistor in that voltage source noted above.
