SOURCE: Philips Tropical Refrigerator, want to know what bulb it uses, mine died many years ago, lost the globe

Hello Anna-Marie;

What a beautiful name. I am sure it fits the person.

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

All appliances require special bulbs depending on the service, such as ovens, freezers and refrigerators.

These bulbs are expensive, $7.00-$11.00.

Go to your local home depot or lowels with your light bulb, ask for assistance, done deal.

1983, good for you. Appliances can last 30 years or more if you take care of them.

Heavens Kaitlan you don't ask much do you? I think you need to spend a happy hour or two online with each question, unless there's a Professor of Climatology reading this.

How does the energy saver switch work?

The energy saver switch turns on heaters that are located in the strip where the doors meet the body of the refrigerator. These heaters are not needed in low humidity conditions such as the winter. If you live in Florida or any of the semi tropical states, you probably need this switch in the on position year round.

Can a refrigerator be placed in a garage that houses the electric furnace?

Hi, all fridge freezers work on ambient room temperatures, ie room temperature. Also it will depend on the classification of your fridge freezer. On a normal classification fr/free 70 degrees should be a constant maximum. On a sub normal classification room temp should not exceed 50 degrees. on a sub tropical room temp can be pretty much as warm as you like. On the rating plate inside your fridge freezer two small letters exist (N) normal. (SN) sub normal. (ST) sub tropical. Most fridges will work for a while in the wrong temp but will work too hard and pack up

THE HEADLAMPS OR TAILIGHTS ON AN 1983 JEEP CJ-7 DONT WORK. HOW CAN IT BE FIXED ?

First, get out the ol' volt ohmmeter. Check the bulbs for continuity, check the sockets for power and good ground. check fuses. check the switch, check relays. Your vehicle does not have any"mysterious"modules...power needs to get to the switch, then through the wiring to the bulbs. armed with your meter and perhaps a test-light, you can easily trace both ways from the switch to the power source and the bulbs. Only thing you need is time and a bit of patience.

Projection bulb needs to be replaced

The bulb is behind a removable panel on the right side of the T.V. Remove the two Phillips screws, then remove panel. You should see a black square thing, this has two more Phillips screws on it, by the way this is the bulb holder. Remove the two screws and pull on the silver handle, and that should be it. The bulb you need can be found here, http://lamps-dlp.com/ProductDetail.asp?PartNumber=6912V00006C&A=G&B=6912 hope that helps you.
