No, you cannot. Your Crosley will not have the correct line output jacks. Even if it did, although the output level will be fine, you will not have the proper RIAA equalization, making the sound worse, not better.

SOURCE: Crosley traveler turntable noise

Hello attaboy. You may need to check you ac cord if the noise is in turntable, radio, & cassettte mod. If it has a 3 prong plug than you are missing a GND connection, in the cord or inside the unit. If it has a 2 prong plug than take it back or open it up and replace filter capacitors or bridge rectifiers in units power supply.

When I plug in my marantz TT-42 turntable to my Yamaha R-S300 receiver's phono input, I get a muddy and loud sound. I've tested the turntable with direct input to Bose speakers and it works fine.

If the turntable produces good sound with a line level input on another system, you have the turntable with the pre amp built in. That is why the sound is loud and distorted.

The Needle may need replacing, if after replacing the needle and you have the same problem, it could be a connection from the needle pick up to the recever.

Speakers are low, even with the volume turned all the way up

Please check that the amp has a Magnetic Cartridge Pre-amp built in. If it doesn't you need to buy one.

I would like to add a turntable to my Bose Cinemate II but when i plug the RCA directly into the Bose module the volume has to be to the max and is still very quiet

You need a preamp to solve that problem, the older amps and receivers had built in phono inputs with a preamp stage. Radio Shack use to make a preamp that ran on a 9volt battery for turntables that ran into the very problem you are talking about. But I do not know if they are still available, go to www.ebay.com Type: turntable or turntable preamp

The output from any regular turntable is far too low for most amplifiers to handle. You need to either run the output through a pre-amplifier first to bring the signal up to line output levels suitable for most recording devices and amplifiers or run it into an integrated amplifier which includes the pre-amp stage.

If your Bose receiver specifically includes a turntable input then it has a pre-amp built in, but as so few folks use turntables any more very few devices have the correct input. Pre-amps are still easy to obtain and can be very cheap, but cheap ones produce a noisy and unpleasant output which is magnified by the amplifier. If ever there's a choice to be made, spend the money on the pre-amp and go budget on the main amp.

I hope that I've saved you wasting money on something you didn't need. Please take a moment to rate my free answer.

Sound quality is terrible on my Crosley CR79 turntable. Sounds very tinny and terrible. Got a new needle and the problem still exists.

This could be an earth lead to the cartridge problem, or the cartridge itself. Check the connections.

Want to connect non-bose speakers to a bose lifestyle system

this is possible, however not a very good idea.
Bose speakers are designed a little different than other brand speakers, the Equalizer built into the bose system will probably not sound amazing when you hook up your other speakers. Are you looking for more bass? cleaner highs?

if you want more bass, you could try doubling up your subs, if you want cleaner highs you could buy Bose Jewel Cube Speakers (purchased from a Bose Built-Invisible Dealer

Adding turntable to bose music wave system

Hiya, sad to say it wont work even with the correct plugs. If you really need/want to get it going, you will need a RIIA pre amp to use to convert the turntable levels to an acceptable level for the bose. Once you have that, then get the correct matching plugs for the bose (sames guys that supply the preamp should be able to help). Suggest a google search in your area "RIIA PREAMP" and see who supplys.

Best of luck
