My handset has no dialing tone

Contact is bad and/or the electronics are no longer any good.

I can't get dial tone either. Let me know if you find a solution please.

the issue will be in the handset. please contact a panasonic service center. Please let me know your location so that i can try to provide you the address or contact no.

if you can get dial tone with another phone, look into manual for any instructions, usually a toll free number for help. ( BEST ) otherwise take phone back for exchange. may be problem in the board.

Try setting it on pulse, then hear it click when you push the number, if it works switch it back and try agian

Katasen, You punch in the number and press the Skype button.

It may not be registed with the main unit. You may need to register the handset. With my uniden all i have to do is put it in the main base until it says what handset it is (it should be a number).

STORING A NUMBER IN MEMORY
To program priority keys:
1. Make sure the telephone is properly installed. Pick up the
handset and listen for the dial tone. If you don’t hear the
dial tone, recheck or repeat the installation steps.
2. Press the SPEAKER button or pick up the handset.
3. Press the store button.
4. Dial the number to be stored.
5. Press the store button again.
6. Press the A, B or C button.
7. Press the SPEAKER button or hang up the handset.
To program frequently called numbers:
1. Press the SPEAKER button or pick up the handset.
2. Press the store button.
3. Dial the number to be stored.
4. Press the store button again.
5. Press one of the 10 memory location buttons 0-9.
6. Press the SPEAKER button or hang up the handset.

The problem is possibly the keypad on the phone. Try another phone , preferrably a standard corded phone. If you still cannot break the dial tone, then the problem is with the telephone line (phone company)

The MP3 file needs to be under 300kb in order to be set as a tone. Any larger and it won't work.
