Question about Computers & Internet
I have a Emerson LF501EM5F 50" LED LCD tv. I was on my pc which the tv hooks to as a monitor when all of a sudden the screen got fuzzy and is showing a faint duplicate of everything on the screen ie: Switching sources, will show HDMI1 on right side and a light image of it towards the left..how do i fix or reset the display. Two pics..one of the left side and one of the right.
The T'Con board to your TV is damaged. Contact the authorized service center for Emerson; or any experienced service technician.

out put connection from the video card to the LCD monitor is loose or malfunctioning. check the connection that leaves the video card to the monitor, ensure its secure and clean, if still not working then its either the video card or the cable connecting to the LCD.

SOURCE: compaq Presario laptop
First attach laptop to an external monitor and using the FN/ F keys toggle back and forth to the external display. If the external works OK then the video display adapter is fine and the problem is the TAB welds on the LCD. Time for a new LCD.

SOURCE: LCD screen is faint XPS M140
You backlight is failing. That is the bulb that provides the brightness to the screen. You need to replace bulb which is very tricky to do unlesss you have experience or replace the screen.

Test if it works on external monitor. If it does, then turn the computer on, remove the battery, then reinsert the battery. That little trick has worked several times for me and my customers. If the external monitor does NOT work, then you probably have a bad video chip in the computer's motherboard.... by the time you fix it, you could almost by a new machine.

Sounds like your computer has just bit the dust, do your self a favor and purchase a new one. This time buy an XP, it might be a little bit more, but you get what you pay for.
