In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.
Before going further; try a hard reset first. If it does not help you, replace the main digital board. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here.

Good day!have ah pensonic model ctv-2155uv trouble is no picture in tv mode, but if u switch to video mode,no problem.only in t.v mode my atenna is no problem.

Your problem is with the tv tuner. Use a vcr tuner connected to your antenna, connect vcr to tv set video input and you have a working tv for normal reception.

Whats wrong with my tv?

This indicates that the TV somehow went into service mode, and the colors on your screen are a test pattern. There are a couple things that we can try to fix the issue.

The first, is to try and reset the EPROM in the TV.
To do this, remove the power cord from the wall, then press and hold the power button on the TV itself (not the remote) for 20 seconds. Then plug the set back in and power it up.

If this does not fix the issue, the last thing we can try on a user level, is to use the TV remote, and press Cursor Arrows UP then Down, and unplug power. Then plug it back in.

If this does not cure the issue, then this indicates a failure in the TV's EPROM which is what runs this Test/Service Mode, and there are no resets or adjustments you can perform to fix this. It is actually a fault in the component that generates this test, and the set would require service. There is nothing you can do that would enter the Service/Test Mode as a user, so this likely occurred due to hardware failure.

If your TV is still under warranty you can contact JVC from their service page for repairs below.

I hope this helps!

42hp66 toshiba will not change channels sits on channel 27. I do not have cable but the signal feeds other tv and this one was working this morning

I would say this has a software issue with the Eprom ic, I would try to get in the service mode and reset it to factory settings ( Google your model for service mode )
Failing this it will probably need a replacement av main board.

Phillips tv model #42pf5321d/37 we replace the signal board and we have picture now but the picture on the right side is too wide

You should have downloaded the eprom information onto a usb stick then transfered it back to the new board, or just removed the eprom off the old board onto the new. It is my recommendation to have an authorized service center come out and realign it within the factory service mode.
