Question about Electrolux Kitchen Ranges
THE HEAT INDICATOR LIGHTS ALSO GO OFF WHEN THE FRONT LEFT PLATE SWITCH IS TURNED OFF BUT THE PLATES ARE STILL HOT
There are 3 answers possible for your question:
1) your heater has a Thermolimiter without Hot Warning Light indicator connector and the job is dne by the electronics tht manage the zone. In this case the timer indicates that the hob is cold but obviously it is not. The fault is at the Electronics.
2) The Heater is a double Zone (with an inner ring and/or an oval side) in this case the part that it is failing to switch on is activated only in the sequential Inner ring-Outer ring. If the temp of 550C is reached the Thermolimiter does the cut of power cycling +/- 50C in order to avoid exceeding the 550C nominal.
3) Wrong Wiring if the heater was replaced. The harness could have been swapped around. Heaters could be Ceramaspeed or EGO that have inverted power and thermolimiter faston. Eika heaters are different too. but for this you need to see what is inside the hob and it is dangerous if you are not a qualified electrician.
