Question about Edifier Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

No sound playing from either speaker on the Edifier Multimedia Speaker M3300 setup.

I am using the Edifier Multimedia Speaker m3300, and no sound plays from either speaker. It is analog output, so it doesn't need drivers, it is the only audio device plugged in, I have tried motherboard and case ports, and all connections on the subwoofer have been double-checked. When I turn on the subwoofer, I hear a beat, then nothing more. I am running Windows 7 64-bit. All computer audio drivers are up-to-date.

Go to and check the troubleshooting guide. I notice it says to check to make sure the mute button on the remote is off. Try it without the remote plugged in, also. Try hooking up another device with a headphone jack like an mp3 player. The only other thingI can think of would be a blown fuse, which sometimes lets a small signal through with some amps, but I don't see any fuse holder.

My Edifier M1360 speakers will only work when plugged into the headphone jack and I can't get all three speakers working at the same time. What can I do?

the sub woofer green 1/8 inch plug goes into the audio card either the front or the back of the pc. the jack it plug into is normally the green one. the two speakers normally join together on one card and plug into the subwoofer. also look for a on/off know to the speakers for power. normally on one of the little speakers. make sure it is on.

As long as the woofer is functional, get a pair of 8 Ohm matching speakers from Radio Shack.

I don't sound from my left Edifier M1250 speaker

If possible, swap the speakers side for side. If that same speaker does not work on the opposite side, the speaker is likely defective. However, the connection to your computer could be bad, causing one channel to drop out.

No side speakers

Make sure you test your wires and that they are running paralel, un wire and rewire, and make sure no speaker wire is exposed or touching.

One speaker very quiet

The first thing to do is to see if the problem is the computer's output or inside the speaker / amplifier. This can be done easily by removing the speaker plug from the computer's audio output jack and plugging it into a stereo device with the same size jack (likely a stereo 3.5mm type).

You will probably find that many devices support this plug. Check your phone, MP3 player, iPad, iPod, etc. Turn the volume on the speaker (if equipped) DOWN to minimum and the volume of the source device to about 1/4 -to 1/3 of the way up. Choose a source (MP3, etc.) and PLAY. Slowly turn up the volume on the speaker until it can be heard comfortably. Compare the sound from one speaker to the other. If the sound level is equal, the problem lies with your computer. If the sound is louder on one than the other, the problem is with the speakers. Once you know which is the problem, you can see about repairing / replacing the damaged parts.

Good luck!
