Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

Averitech 2200 - installed new battery. Now the computer keeps beeping at approximately 2 minute intervals. Any idea why? It didn't do this before.

Used computer with dead battery for a couple months, purchased new battery, installed it, it is charging and seems to be working properly but it now makes a beeping sound about every 2 minutes - and I dont remember it doing that before. Any clue?

What is the beep pattern? That will be an error code. Maybe the battery is not an original.

Lincoln mark 8 starts but won't stay running

Yeah... particularly the O2 sensors.. running rich ... weak
and intermittent...

Been there... Ultimately gave up a took mine to dealer.
After floundering around (and seeing I had already been EVERYWHERE they were looking) for two weeks...

They found one of the catalytic converters was collapsing blocking the exhaust... (jobbed it ou to a local muffler shop).

I have still never identified an elegant way to diagnose this issue...

Got to a point where it would not run...

At that point (had I known) I would have liked to try to remove the catalytic converter at the header to see if it would actually run
(CAN'T... one piece)

Liquid wrench, & ear plugs would figure prominently in this process...

ELSE
do look up you muffler & cat prices BEFORE going to an EXHAUST SHOP ($$$$)...

I figure I paid $1700 where a mere $700 would have been pricy
(installed... I bet you can do better).

Slow Cooker Beeps only after a few minutes and won't stop.

4 years later... I'm pretty sure it has to do with liquid in the slow cooker (maybe relating to temperature also so it doesn't overheat/burn your meal?). I just threw in some short ribs and a thick (and somewhat scant for the cooker's capacity) bbq sauce. It started beeping and beeping and beeping at fairly frequent intervals. I added about a cup of hot water and the beeping stopped.

Door will not lockwhen leaving home

I'm including a link to the installation instructions for your lock:

http://s7d5.scene7.com/is/content/BDHHI/40486-02

The instructions are a ".pdf" file, so if you cannot open it, you need to download and install Adobe Reader first. You can get the download here (it's free):

http://get.adobe.com/reader/

If you have not already done so, please replace the batteries. (See step 4.8) You should hear a series of quick beeps when batteries are installed correctly and making full contact. It is possible that weak batteries have caused the lock to lose its programming.
After the battery change, check the "handing" of your door. If the bolt does not extend when lock button is pressed, check the handing of your door (See Step 4.9)
Follow the programming instructions in Step 5. You will hear a 2 second beep when your codes are accepted. (See step 5.1-3).
If the unit does not beep - too much time has elapsed between steps 1 & 2. Repeat these steps faster.
Note: You have approximately 3 seconds between step 1 & 2 for your codes to be accepted.

Now, if you have done all of these things and the lock is still not performing correctly, it's time to contact Kwikset's Customer Service. For assistance call:
1-800-327-5625 USA
or visit www.kwikset.com

Good luck--and please provide feedback if this helps!

Weiser lock began to emit a single long beep at regular intervals of several minutes. Changed the batteries and reset the code and it works fine, however, still continues to emit a single long beep at...

Why is my Powerbolt 1000 unit beeping?

To determine why your lock is beeping abnormally, please follow these steps:

Take out batteries and unplug powerstrip.
Let it sit for 1 minute, then put the batteries back in and wait another minute.
If it does not beep, the keypad needs to be replaced (17733-1).
If the unit continues to beep, the powerboard needs to be replaced (A17734-3,3 Powerboard 1470 brass finish; A17734-3,26D Powerboard 1470 satin chrome finish; A17734-3,5 Powerboard 1470 antique brass finish).

The complete page that I cut this from can be found by cutting and pasting this link into your browser search bar:

http://www.weiserlock.com/Support/Faq/50160000000HhhZAAS.aspx

Since you've already gone through the battery change, this suggests that you need to replace the appropriate Powerboard for your lock.
So this is the link to Weiser Customer Support Page. Here you will find the appropriate contact numbers, US or Canada:

http://www.weiserlock.com/en/CustomerService/ProductSupport/SupportContact.aspx

I suggest calling the appropriate toll-free number and having a conversation with a representative about this problem, first of all to confirm that you need the part before you go through the expense. Secondly, your lock may be new enough for you to talk them into warrantying it, and thirdly, they will be able to get the correct part on order for you.

Good luck!
